27th April 2007 SUPER IMPORTANT Was'nt Sunday great for Super Bangers .... NOT!!! The highlight of them, for me, was Gayboys new (first ever) haircut.. That said we are trying to do something about it.. THIS IS ONLY VALID FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE DEFFO GOING TO RACE SUPER BANGERS THIS SEASON, IF YOUR NOT GOING TO RACE THIS SEASON DO NOT ATTEND.. Thanks. This Letter has been sent to all known 2007 Super Banger drivers. 25th April 2007 To all Super Banger Drivers As you are aware after the first heat on Sunday 22nd April the Super Banger class was cancelled for the rest of the meeting, due to not enough cars to run the heats. This is a first for Warton and hopefully the last. It has been decide therefore to hold a drivers meeting at The New Holly Pub A6 Forton at 8.oclock on Tuesday 1st May, to decide the future of the class. It is very important you attend this meeting so we can discuss any problems that you drivers have and sort them out, new ideas are welcomed your opinion is vital. Two members of the committee will be present so any ideas and changes will be counted. Please everyone make a big effort to try to get your cars ready for the meeting on Sunday 6th May so the class does not get cancelled again. If you know of anyone who is building or thinking of building a car please relay this information on, as they will be made very welcome to attend Please make an effort as this class relies on you the individuals to keep it going. Fantastic action from the Ministox and Stock Cars, only one race for the Supers... Crisis what crisis... Oh and Modstox, including 232 Josh Quinlan. I hope Conner is OK after his lil bash. Anyhow, I will post the photos up soon, loads ov em, and when the photos are in the spaces above, they are up.. or going up. 14th April 2007 Racing on 22nd April. Don't forget its raceday next Sunday, 2Ltr Bangers, Modstox, Ministox, Stock cars and Super Bangers.... Jay, Capt Black and co, any cars ready yet ??? All may be explained at a later date.. or not :) I need more to buy from SnOrKsStOrE, bills for the site are coming in, I am finkin of doing basic cd's with all the photos from a meeting for a squid, if your intrested let me know, note the should work as a slide show on DVD players. 11th April 2007 Money Men It seems that I was right, again, there is a new website that is just out to make money from short oval racing. I have no probs with folks promoting our sport & track and selling stuff to cover costs (erm visit www.snorksstore.com), but do when they get a fee from certain tracks, and the site ONLY shows photos for the means of making money. I have, with immediate effect, removed the watermarks from all my photos, I have decided, as long as I get a link and a plug for photos used, they can be used for any website, other than a Dippy one, FREE OF CHARGE. I keep the copyright though, which means you can not SELL my images to anyone on any format future or past, without my permission. I realise that my photos are not the greatest ever, but as I can no longer afford to give free prints to drivers I will make it easy for anyone to use any of my images for personal websites, or to save onto a cd or memory card, take to a photo centre and have them printed on anything they want (paper, placemats, mugs, etc.). Just don't sell them on.. Ta. I make no money from Warton Stock Car Club, or any other track I go to. I can't supply free photos anymore to the trackshop, but will do some A4 laminates to sell at the shop when I can, all proceeds will go to our club. I have started to write a report for last Sundays meeting, and will hope to finish it orf on Thursday/Friday. I'm not sure if I will send it in for the programme though, but hey this is a start for the rebirth of wartononline.com, a free site now and for a while. ** On a lighter note The next meeting (22nd April) features 2LTR Bangers, Ministox, Stock Cars, Modstox and Super Bangers. It all kicks off at noon. Don't forget to book in for WARton of the Roses, plenty of room still left, though there was a last minute rush last year, note theres prize money for the Winning Team, and the losing team. ** SnOrK has the right to decide to make wartononline.com a pay to view site if it seems he too can make an easy buck that way... Only joking. 9th April 2007 Verrilee Yesterday was fun.. I even got a red face off of the SUN!!! Doubt that will happen again... I will write a report about the day too, if I can be bothered :) It were great to see so many bangers, bearing in mind the other 'big' meetings at other tracks in the area (just a reminder to banger drivers, Warton is a non profit making CLUB, we try and make things as cheap for everyone to race here, the rule of no follow ins was designed to make cars last longer, and make things safer. Last year numbers increased because of these changes. As you are aware there are money men in the sport, who are more interested in big bucks than you. Clubs like ours are in decreasing numbers (Barra and Millom to name but two) and though we are in a very strong position we do need the continued support of all our drivers, do NOT be swayed by a few 'trouble makers' who are going out of their way to keep banger drivers away from our track, support you local small clubs or, in time, you will be at the mercy of those people who are only interested in profit.). You have been warned, lead do not be mislead. We have been promised more Super Bangers soon, which will be a good thing. The Ministox and Stock Cars were awesome though with action a plenty and great racing all round, well done to #55 Dan Whittingham who is having a better start in his carreer than a certain Hamilton guy in Formula One, and thats saying something. Don't forget there are still places in Warton of the Roses, free to enter, everyone gets a medal and the honor of driving a red or white car. 4th April 2007 Restricting Ministox New Ministox drivers, who aint gotten their restrictor, don't panic. They have arrived late and will be given out at scruteneering on Sunday. You will need 2 gaskets to fit it, not supplied via us. So make sure your fully gasketed up before you set off to the track, ta. 3rd April 2007 We are racing this Sunday This is it, we are a racing. Ministox, Super Bangers, Stock Cars and Bangers. So get there early to get a good space and wrap up warm, just incase..oh and bring your easter eggs, summot to nosh on. It all kicks off around noon. 25th March 2007 Track Day this Sunday Next Sunday, 1st April, is a track day. We need as many folks as poss to come to the track, help paint new and old inner wall and do odd jobs around the place. If your one of many who just roll up on race day, race yer car then bugger off home, make 2007 a year where you actually help out the Club with a few hours on what is a boring Sunday. Please arrive between 10AM and Miday and lets get the old place looking smart and tidy for the upcoming season. Food will be provided free of charge, so no excuses. See you there. There is NO racing, just cars practicing and getting their 'set up' right for the Easter Sunday race meeting. Its £20 per car and driver... EVERYONE elses gets in for free. There will be a burger van there. Also a reminder about WARton of the Roses. The Lancs 2LTR team is full already!
