IM NOT DEAD (PINKS NEW CD)
Christmas is over
So that was Crimbo.. Hmmm Not white but a wet un :(

Best wishes to Mr Banger Saab driver who was followed in and hurt his ankle.

I used my new Canon EOS 350D camera for the first time today and I am a little pleased with the results, I hope you are too.

Ironic that in the year I have been at my poorest, I had a fiver to last for two weeks in November, I end up with a swanky camera.

GERALD SPEAKS
Oh a party
Gerald has been on the dog n bone, asking me to inform you that the Christmas meeting is, for now, cancelled until after the EGM, where hopefully things will get sorted, one way or another, and it can be reinstated. Also the tendors for the track work MUST be in to Shirley by the end of NOVEMBER 2006! So pull your fingers out.

The dance is on next Friday, and I assume that it isn't going to be fancy dress, as no one has said they are doing it in costumme. Erm thats about it, oh unless you want anything from Snorksstore to be brought to the dance, let me know ASAP. I am donating two PS2 games to the raffle, and don't forget all proceeds from the dance will go to the Air Ambulance NW.

On a sadder note, it seems that Barra went out with a bang, and so far there has been no further news regarding relocation, good luck though lads n lasses.

26th October 2006
EGM
mmmm
Reet then, theres an EGM planned for after the dance, date and venue TBC. The issues and stuff that has brought the club to were it is now are to be discussed. It will be a MEMBERS only meeting, no non member family or friends allowed and you will need to bring your licences. Letters will be sent out in due course.

The presentation dance is on as planned, and ALL procceds, entrance fees for non members (£2 each) and raffle monies will be donated to the air ambulance NW.

We are trying to organise the Christmas Meeting to go ahead as planned, but seeing as a number of folks have 'voted with their feet', we need people to drive tractors, lap score and the rest. Again though this will be brought up at the EGM.

Oh and should we have a fancy dress theame to the Presentation night ? If so what ?? Ideas in forum.

Oh II to continue the randomis of this ear report bit, tendors MUST be in before the end of January 2007, sealed and sent to Shirley.

Good news
Oooh look a winner
Oooh Lordy, not good news, I didn't think there was still any, but hey there is. # 323 Anthony Riley, the Ministox driver who was cut out of his car and taken to hossi today, has been discharged and is OK. He will be sore for a few weeks, and no doubt have some awesome bruises, maybe I should start a 'Me & my Bruise' section on the site, with photos of the black n blue markings.. Anyhow he would like to thank EVERYONE who helped him on the track, espesh St Johns and everyone who loaded up his car & gear while he was taking it easy trussed up like a joint of beef. So there you go, some good news...

Now the Bad news... During the first banger heat today, peacefully and after being a regular at our track for well over seven years, taking over 15,000 photos, my camera final passed away. Dated 1984, my Canon A1, bought for £100 a many years ago, finally gave up and passed over, there will be a short service later in the week, and a book of condolance will be opened in the FORUM. I need to find a replacement camera sharpish, well before the Christmas meeting at least. Oh and on a final note I am still on the committee, I have not resigned, nor do I intend to do so. I remind everyone that this is a members club, run by a committee for members, in the best interest of its members... Thats just for those who have forgot why they got themselves voted on the committee.

Chig Memorial
Crash bang n bye bye
A big well done for those who organised the Team Meeting, I thought it was going to be pants, but instead I creamed in mine.

Heres a bookin in list for the Chig at Barra...

Roosecote is holding its last meeting on Sunday 29th October, at 1pm, with Unlimited Bangers racing
for the Chig Memorial Trophy, and the Ministox, Hotrods & Banger Rods providing full support with
their Championships at stake.

Due to redevelopment of the area in which the track is, this is Barrow’s last meeting, and the locals
are making an effort for it. It would be nice to see some visitors for it. The Barrow lads have
raced all over the country in recent years, and from personal experience they’re a top bunch of lads.
When the track goes, so does their racing and their hobby, so if you’re free on the 29th, make and
effort and trek up to Roosecote, you won’t get another chance!

Team Meeting
Crash bang n whallop
Reet then, its the Team Meeting this Sunday, ie tommoz. Theres a new team booked in, horrah. I'm thinking it could be a long day seeing as how we have TWO support classes racing, I must have missed the committee agreeing to that. Anyhow, it only goes dark at a little after 6:30PM so plenty of time.

Oh I need to sell more games in the track shop to pay for my speeding fine, I got caught going into Carnforth last meeting.. I now take Cheques but make sure you have your address & card details on the back, ta. Note I also now sell PC games, and have more XBOX360 ones too. Check out snorksstore (link at the foot of the page) and help me pay off my fine, ta.

BARRA R.I.P.
No Ministox on Sunday.
Bad News from Barra.

This is an official statement from the Barrow Drivers Association

After conferring with the landowner, we have discovered that the area of
land which surrounds and contains Roosecote Raceway has been sold to
developers.
Unfortuneatley the developers do not wish racing to continue at the site
under their ownership.

Due to these circumstances the Chig Memorial and championship meeting
(unlimited bangers+full race card) on Sunday 29th October at 1pm will be the
last meeting at Roosecote Raceway.

Our hard efforts as a club have battled us on throughout this year under
many different problems and difficulties, but now the battle has been taken
out of our hands.

Id like to take this opportunity on behalf of the committee to thank every
person who has been part of Roosecote Raceway at any point in its existance,
all the drivers and spectators who have attended, the supporters from across
the country and all the people whos hard work and efforts behind the scenes
that often go un-noticed. I thank you all.

Matthew Rogerson
Barrow Drivers Association Committee

Just to clarify, Super Bangers AND Stock Cars are racing on Sunday as support for the Team Meeting. Ministox ARE NOT racing.
