21st September 2006 Banger Information Attention Banger Drivers... This is important. You can NOT just turn up on Championship Day and race (this Sunday). You MUST be a Warton Stock Car Club Member. Only the day drivers who have recieved 'the letter' can race, and that is provided they pay the difference to £75 from the £15 they have paid to race as day drivers (examples THREE entries down). If you have any questions speak to stormin Norman. Theres no Team Meeting list up yet as I have'nt got on as not enough teams have booked in yet. Ta 18th September 2006 Team Meeting OK if you have booked in a team for the Team Meeting, can you please bring your money to the next race meeting. Also its very very important that ALL teams are fully booked in (with a total of around 40 cars minimum) for the Team Meeting to actually happen. Note cut off date is the end of Sept. If there are NOT enough teams booked in, the meeting will revert to a normal meeting, with every class racing as if the Team Meeting never happened, its in your hands. 16th September 2006 ORCi stuff Discuss this you banger drivers, ORCi have now decided to say they 'may' use the rule that states that any nationally registerd banger driver, through them, could be stopped racing for them for three months if they race at a none ORCi meeting on the day that they are holding one. Is this a good thing or a bad thing ? Will it backfire or will it kill off club banger racing ?? We. the committee would like to know what DRIVERS (use names & numbers in FORUM) think... So lets debate en mass! Which way would you 'jump' so to speak. Reet then, results 'n' points up right now, thanks Angela. 14th September 2006 COMMITTEE STUFF Reet then, in a mamoth committee meeting last night, lasting til 11:30PM there was a great deal to get through: 1: Championship Day & Day Drivers. Norman has come up with an idea, which got passed, any DAY driver, who has raced at LEAST THREE times THIS season at Warton, can race on Championship day, IN THAT CLASS, aslong as they pay the difference and become a member of the club. e.g. Mr Shafty has raced three times, paying £15 a time. That equals £45 so there would be a balance of £30 to pay, then Mr Shafty can race on Championship day, and is now a Club Member. There is also Appirance money to ALL members, including the new ones. Mr Willygobber has raced 4 times so only needs to pay £15 to become a member etc etc. 2: Team Meeting we need ten teams of four (40 cars) for it to happen, cut off date is the end of this month, ring Angela to book in NOW (Tell her SnOrK sent you). The 'other' stuff cover relates to drivers and we had to work out the race card, all bangers get four races each (thats 8 in total banger races, inc. 2 DD's) on what will be a busy action packed day. see you there! 10th September 2006 BEST WISHES ..to all the lads & blokes injured/winded today. Thankfully there are no serious injuries to report, even Steve, who had a free ride on a big yella chopper, was OK. Despite that it was a better days racing than the last meeting, and around 17 bangers to boot, more than I expected. The weather was kind, though as I had to marshal, I had to wear my sweat top, and boy did I sweat!. Anyhow, not a huge amount of photos to put up this time, but still there will be over 100 when they are all up, I'm still trying to find and easy/free AVI editor to shorten then upload loads of videos .... On a different note, the BLOG on Snorksstore is getting fuller and theres also a poll in the forum, asking if you are going to buy a PS3 (in March 2007!!!!). So pop along and take a looky. Remember though, that site is games only, no banger talk please (ta) 5th September 2006 ANOTHER APOLOGY ...only this time its nowt to do with me!!! Horrahh! A left dangly bit has been dropped, in the letter sent out to Banger Drivers, it states 'the tried and tested formula of 1800cc bangers'. This is utter rubbish, its actually 2LTR and almost always has been, well for at least the last few years, so sorry on behalfof who ever authorized and sent out the wrong information, chuck it away and wait for a new letter soon. Oh and NO Voles, Grannies and the like. Oh and this is to do with the Team Meeting.. OKdokely Saints Row is really good BTW, and we get Test Drive Unlimited this week. 31st August 2006 CARAVAN RACING ?? Reet then, a few things from last nights Committee meeting. 1: The Caravan Race was declaired void, 2: There will be NO practice, for any cars, on Championship Day. 3: The drivers meeting will be at 11:30AM with the parade following, Ministox will go on last as they will be racing first (hope yer following this). 4: Any drivers still holding trophies from Championship day, could you return them to Shirley at the NXT meeting. 5: Dates for 2007 season. TBC. 4th March (MM) - 8th & 22nd April - 6th & 22nd May - 10th & 24th June - 8th & 22nd July - 5th & 26th August - 9th & 23rd Sept - 7th & 21st Oct and 27th Dec 2007. Oh and Saints Row Xbox 360 in stock now! 27th August 2006 CARAVAN RACING IS FUNNY ..heavy showers are a pain though.. Stair rod rain even harder than any of my many enemies, that said it twere only a quick shower, and it twere funny watching everyone run for shelter. Then the Super Bangers splashing Paul (the marshal on the far post). Racing was great again, spesh from the Ministox, Super Bangers and Stock Cars, the caravan race was great as was the banger DD, so all in all good stuff. Photos will be up, when my batteries recharge, sadly they ran out after I forgot to charge them before todays racing, note I only had three weeks to prep em, no time really ! I'm always first to critisise, but I really liked the cover on todays program, good work Angela. 26th August 2006 CARAVAN RACING TOMORROW So I dunno about you lot, but I can't wait for racing tomorrow, caravans are great fun, and as I always say, great to watch if, like J.Clarkson & co, you hate them on the road toodling along at zero miles an hour. A tip for drivers bringing caravans, DO NOT remove windows, any wooden fixtures etc, until you get to he track, let your caravan fall apart on the track, not the M6. Also get some mesh to cover the window screen area, as bits of wood etc hurt if they hit you! Oh and ENJOY. Even good olde XBOX360 games from only Thirty squid ! 16th August 2006 AN APOLOGY TO BARRA Yup, I can get myself into enough trubble without any help from small minded folks who write derogitry stuff about other tracks in MY guestbook, this is supoosed to be a site that promotes our sport, erm, not slags it orf. So soz Barra for the stuff that appeard, and has been removed from this sites guestbook. Bridges were/are being built and we need to stick together in order to survive, so think before you use my guestbook to slag off other tracks, or even our own, I only just survived a demand, from Paul Postletwaite, to be chucked off the committee after the stuff a few weeks back, so don't get me into trubble again please.. I can do that without any help off of anyone ! :) Oh BTW there a new bit added to the HISTORY page, photo of Mr Warton's racing career in the 80's... have a gander! 13th August 2006 IT'S CARAVANS ON 27th AUGUST Its true, only two weeks til the next caravan meeting. Its one of my personal favourite meetings of the year, and always a crowd pleaser, I have been informed that there are 20 caravans booked in already, and been passed on this info from Angela those who need a caravan who have booked in or if they have storage for next year there is 1 at Preston which is free if they collect. You will have a larf.. or else ! 10th August 2006 AN APOLOGY TO ANGELA I would like to take this opportunity to unreservedly apologize to Angela, Norman and the rest of the committee for my over the top rant the other week. I apologize for any upset caused and retract everything I said. It was wrong of me to use my site in a way to make the whole club and committee look bad, and for that I also apologize. I support Warton Stock Car Club 100% and now realize the error of my way. Once again sorry to all concerned. That said what a great day Sunday was, apart from the weather that is, we had everything including the kitchen sink, note some of the report is up and I will add more as soon as I can. I sell my PS2, Xbox and Xbox360 games online and at the shop, to cover the costs of this site (so please buy your games off me LOL) I will have more Flatout 2 and Driven to Destruction for sale at silly prices along with games from a fiver, all new and all originals, no need to chip your console.
