31st July 2006 WELL DONE @ BUXTON We got First, Second and Third at Buxton yesterday, so well done guys... Let's keep Warton Stock Car Club as the top club in the North West. It seems it was a great day all round. Talking of great days, the HESP is less than a week away and as well as some rare tin, there will be loads of bangers, Robins, Ministox, Stock Cars and Super Bangers, lets hope the weather gets back to normal ASAP :) As is the norm, myself and JAS, from the official site, have no argument with each other, my beef is with the dictatorship who think they own YOUR club. Anyway JAS has sent me this info regarding costing for the official site. The club bought the URL`s off me but I pay for the renewals when they need doing. They bought the url`s abut 3 years ago. The co.uk and the org.uk cost about £8 each every 2 years and the .com is £5 per year. For the hosting it's all done on free servers, The site is hosted with a free company. So there you go... I have had shed loads of e-mails regarding the issues I brought up last week, more to follow before the HESP... Yup Norman I ain't finished yet old buddy, oh not that you ever read this as you always say 'I never go on SnOrKs' site, but have had a phone call telling me............' May I suggest that you visit this site daily and see what new revelation I have added. 29th July 2006 GOOD LUCK @ BUXTON So tomorrow is the big day, the return leg at Buxton Raceway, our lads are prepped and ready to go, so best wishes & fly the flag. The points and results have arrived from Angela and are now up... Norman..... Its not over until the fat lady sings... Watch this space! 28th July 2006 CONFIDENCE ALL GONE My confidence in how the club is run has long since gone, Mr. Fryer seems to think it's HIS club and forgets it's you lot who voted for him, and could, at anytime, vote him off again. FACT - Angela was not selected by the Committee, nor were any members asked about her suitability, Mr. Fryer just informed us that she was the new Publicity Officer and Treasurer, despite having little or no experience in organizing this much cash etc. It seemed his daughter was perfect for the job, perfect ?? I think not we have had inaccurate balance sheets many times this season because 'the programme that works it out can't be altered' then low and behold there is a 'new' correct sheet produced at the next committee meeting or race meeting. This is the member's money we are talking about. It all smells a bit. FACT - When the committee vote on a ban, or on points being reinstated, the vote is meant to be a secret one, yet even this week Mr. Fryer decides that its OK to ring up Paul Woods to tell him the result of a vote and who voted what, hmmmm As for the 'Official site' we were asked at a committee meeting if we would pay to keep it running and the committee decided to let it close down quietly as it was rarely visited and even more rarely updated, now Angela is sending loadsa stuff to it, I only noticed yesterday, and its back, no idea who is paying for it, it's never shown up in the Financial Statement mind you that's hardly a surprise. Oh and Angela, at the last committee meeting informed me that my report 'wouldn't be missed in the programme anyway' This after I sent her a snotty e-mail after she sent me completly the wrong results and points a few weeks back. Nightclub - organise - party spring to mind. I dare say most of you have stories similar about the father & daughter team running your club. This is not a rant to get Norman fired or to get either of Angela's jobs, I don't have the time, but you should know that there's a great deal going on that happen shouldn't be and that you members have the power to halt it now, before things get too serious. Anyway, don't forget that there is the return leg at Buxton this weekend, Angela has NOT sent me the drivers list, it's on the official site should be a good day. I can't make it, too tired and skint, but have a fun day. The HESP is almost upon us, there will be a trophy for 'Best Tin' supplied by the Pennington Family oh and SnOrKsStOrE is sponsoring it along with The Invaders. That's the 6th August at Warton, this will be a top meeting, the Irish Lads are hoping to return and the pigs will be back too.. Hip hip horary. 27th July 2006 IS ANGELA A BITCH ? Well Least I know where I stand, I opposed Angela Fryer being new publicity officer & treasurer. My God haven't I Paid for it, she has not used any of my photos for the programme, 'because they are too small' despite me giving her a CD with EVERY photo from the meeting with original huge size (digital pixs of over 7 Million pixels) and she has managed to get rid of SnOrKs ThOrtS from the programme, due to 'publishing deadlines' being brought forward with the new OVERPRICED programme publishers, then to top it off she decides, after being told by her dad in last nights committee meeting to send me and the official website the FULL results & points for last meeting so that roof colours can be sorted for the HESP, only to send them to JAS & Chris... It looks like, as I predicted a while ago, we are back with another Mick & Val partnership in control of YOUR club and if your face doesn't fit, like mine (Again), you will be ignored and removed... Well if its war they want, its war they get... From now on their will be nothing from me given to Angela for the programme, and this site will continue to be unofficial and promote Warton Stock Car Club, but will have nothing to do with Angela or Norman until they are no longer involved in the running the Club, gloves are now off ! Anyway rant over.. There were 45 bangers last Sunday, so we are considering more 1400cc races for next season, discuss. Also small van races have been suggested many times before, but we only got one entrant last year so cancelled it All roof colours will be checked next meeting and you will be placed in your roof colour section on the start grid There will be nopoints for the Robins at the HESP, though they all will get £30, £25 off the Club and a fiver extra off norman. The HESP Memorial race WILL BE THE FIRST RACE, followed by Ministox, so get there early. 23rd July 2006 SCORCHIO Loadsa rolls, a smart fire, wrecks galore and Modstox, must be Warton Stock Car Club! Great day, great weather and an awesome DD, Shame my ISP is very crap at the moment, infact its so bad Telewest have halved my bill until next the end of 2006.. So Photos and updates will be up eradically but as quick as possable :) Oh and almost 50% of folks, who bothered to vote, like SnOrKs ThOrTs bestest.. aww Im touched! 12th July 2006 I LOVE EVERYONE Yeah right!! Anyway, theres two new polls in the FORUM of site, its important, not impotant, that as many of you as possable answer them. Please only vote once per poll and be honest too, the poll will be locked/closed before the next Warton meeting. The report will be up at the weekend, maybe Monday, its King of the Peaks at Buxton on Sunday, Im not sure if I'm going or not, it may be a good day out though. 9th July 2006 I LOVE METROS Erm in a non-sexual way, but they are fun, and we were not disapointed today, a few rolls and plenty of damage, hee hee oh and a massive DD. The Junior Bangers were fun too, a roll and some great racing. The Stock Cars, Super Bangers and crowd were slightly smaller than normal, poss due to weather, tennis and some footy match somewhere (Com'on you Frenchies).. Oh and home for six... I SAID 6 !! You dirty minded folks! 4th July 2006 FIVE TODAY The site is FIVE years old today, as in wartononline.com. Well over quarter of a million visitors in that time, remember that the counter only goes up once in 24 hours for each PC logging on, actual page views are well over ten million. I have been informed by super Angela that my report, sent in Monday morning, was too late for the program for this meeting so here is the first bit & last bit, report is in the reports section (as is the norm) So the soccer dream is over, what a blinkin surprise that isn't. Anyhow the last time we raced more than a few of you stayed at home to watch 'our boys' draw a match, or was it a win, I have no idea, anyway, you missed a fast, close and incident filled days racing, with decent weather to boot! Today, along with Super Bangers and Stock Cars, we have Junior Bangers (drivers aged ten to sixteen in nudge and spin bangers) and Metro Bangers, the Metros are generally exciting with, usually, a few rolls and some great destruction. I guess we have some folks here today who saw us at Scorton a few weeks back, welcome to you all and have a great day, note that goes for all the regulars too. (see report) So it was another great days racing and stuff last time, the Metros always entertain and we have, coming up later in the year, on the 6th Aug The HESP with Reliant Robins (yes three wheelers) racing. Caravan racing on the 27th August oh and a team meeting on 8th October … so its all go go go. Check out the site for more details and all Robins that race WILL get £25 on the day. Oh except for the fact I might have someone intrested in racing a cravan for the caravan meeting, but they don't have the means to build a banger to tow it. It part of the media and will get a write up in a national lads mag. So is there anyone intrested or able to suplly one for this meeting, just for caravan race...Ta. NOTE: It will need to be well prepped and have a super spesh paint job, seeing as it will be a mag star, thanks in advance. 29th June 2006 COMMITTEE STUFF Well its more to do with the HESP. All Robins brought to race, and actually get on the track to race, will get £25. Graham has offered a further £25 for the winner of the Robin DD. Dont forget that the next meeting at Warton is a Metro Banger spesh, with Jnr Bangers as well as Stock Cars and Super Bangers! 25th June 2006 ANOTHER TOP DAY OK so its was quiet on the spectator front, not surprising considering England were playing football in Germany and it was live on the TV. We had plenty of action, very fast racing and it twere close most of the day, the weather held up too, so all in all great fun. 24th June 2006 A PERFECT DAY ?? So tomorrow could be a perfect day. Go to Warton n watch some racin' , then go home and watch a soccer match (blokes in shorts running after a ball - aparentally). 11 blokes, one a Shrek lookalike, getting knocked out by a camp eurosong from the '80's or 90's. I will be bringin photos for drivers (Metal Mania and Easter meetings) and theres pix for sale too, in track shop, inc. Badboys big air. Another win for # 300 Jordan and another naff day for # 134 Alex Chapman (spinner - though none were his fault). A hearse, driven by Deano Steele... Oh and some sun... Well lots of sun.... oooh arrrghh my arms! 6 - 6 - 6 ROADREAPER DAY So its all hells day.. Andy will no doubt be burning up the road, again. He is incredably old, but due to this being his birthday, and it only happening every 100 years, hes only 43 (ish)... On a lighter note, I'm still getting great feedback from WOR 2006 and there should be a feature in the next WASTED mag.
