That was fun, though I am covered in dust and muck. The carvana race was the best I have ever seen at Warton, the bangers on there own were fun as was the racing in the Super Bangers, Ministox and Stock Cars, so thats all good. The damage on a certain ministox was unbelivable, and we had Stock Car Virgins - # 3 Saint (X ministox) and # 8 Mr Bell (X super) both seemed to keep out of the action.. which is good.

Im off to a party now, but digital photos are loading up as we speak.

Quite a few of you found SnOrKs StOrE in the track shop.. So thanks for that more next meeting. Thanks to Lyn for offering her services.

Beware that if you are towing/carrying a caravan as well as a banger on Sunday, you may be stopped by a Mr Policeman. So check that all your lights work, the number plate on your trailor/board is the same as the car/van towing. Also do NOT desmantle too much of your caravan before setting off, as they have a tendancy to fall apart at speed, on the motorway causing you to arrive with only a chassis (at best) or cause an accident on the way to the track (worst case). So there you go.. Stay Safe and fine free.

Mr Chairman, Normin, has asked me to pass on his thanks to those folks who braved the heat and sun to collect other peoples rubbish on Sunday gone...

A certain Super Bnager driver, who was rubbish collecting on Sunday has stated that he found zero Nappies... Tho to be fair he was on the raised part of the inside of the track, and I was where the lord Stock Cars & Hillbillies often park.. Not that I'm incinerating they are to blame! (yes its a deliberate typo)

Theres a few polls and questions in the SnOrKs StOrE GAMES FORUM so if, like me, your a game fan (I said GAME!!) and are looking forward to the PS3 - Xbox 360 or Nintendo Revolution, go and make your vote count!

I got to the track around noon, and there were about seven folks already there... Everyone picked up shed loads of junk that had been chucked on the floor... I got nice sunburn on my back... and very fed up with two things.. 1: the fact only a handfull of folks could be bothered to turn up. 2: That so many Warton Members seem willing to leave their rubbish and make the place look so tatty.

But I would like to thanks EVERYONE who did turn up for doing so... Yer stars and the place looks 99% better than it did this morning. Lets hope the majority of people have a way of keeping it clean and take their rubbish home in carrier bags from now on. Oh and my personal nappy count was 13 today... Now that is disgusting...

This SUNDAY is a track day at Warton, picking up litter and sorting out the track barriers are the order of the day. Its that quiet out there, I'm wondering if EVERYONE is on holidays.. But if your not please make an effort to get to the track and help out.. After 10AM please... I hope to be there too... But don't let that put you off.

I am waiting for the results and points off Val, before I post the report from last meeting, but she is currently unable to send anything out via e-mail.

This three week break between meetings is sending me to the land of nod.. Thank goodness for my PS2 and XBOX... :) No its not a cheap plug for SnOrKsStOrE, though the forum there is VERY underused at the moment, so go on have a gander and start using the games forum PLEASE!!!

What a great day, the weather was nice, the racing was awesome and we had real life Banger racing!!!

Driver of the day, for me was # 501 Basher Kaye in that short tiny car that just kept going and going, even attacking cars three times its size, a close second place driver of the day was # 344 Haley Parkinson, who was in stormin form in the ministox! All in all a great day out.

Next meeting is the caravan meeting in THREE weeks 28th August...another one NOT TO MISS!

I had a gripe at the bangers at Warton recently, and I hope we will be entertained this Sunday. I forgot to thank the guys who do regualry pop up to Warton and get wasted by TNT, so cheers to Crash Test Dummies and the rest of you :) We all like seeing big hits and plenty of action, just as long as NO ONE gets hurt... I thank you :)

Oh and SnOrKs StOrE now has Gamecube games and loads more PS2 and Xbox games for sale ! At Bargin prices, see me at track if you want any :)

Its looking good for the HESP III this coming Sunday. Loadsa bangers and more than a few Robins, plus Ministox, Super Bnagers and Stock Cars.. Its going to be huge I canna wait!!!

The company I work for, Liqui Moly, are sponsoring the meeting and I have a load of stickers for as many cars as possable, so contact me on the day.

Theres been a problem with the sheild... So instead we are going to give the winners of EACH final a goodie box with petrol & Diesel treatment, Speedtec and loads more stuff.. (I hope its not coming out of my pay though).

Committee meeting tomorrow is going to be a fraught one & very very long. Being on the committee is like being in the Big Brother house, now its time to get things sorted for the best.

Ok that was a fun day & the weather held off too. Loadsa action in the Ministox, Super Bangers and Stock Cars, with # 105 Sirrocco Steve had a blinder in the mechanics with a small child behind me cheering him on !! Have I gone to the Twilight Zone ??

Next meeting is THE HESP III ... Reliant Robins will get �25 aperance money with the winner of the final getting another �25. Loadsa cars racing in the bangers too, so it will be a great day.

Don't forget the Ministox race day changes... This is to give ALL cars the same number of races, while keeping numbers on the track at any one time to a minimum.

The heats will remain the same as before (21 cars or more split into three racing twice)

The Grand National will be scrapped and there will be an 'A' Final and a 'B' Final. Who races in which will be decided on the points scored in the season up to the end of the last meeting. Top half race in the 'A' Final and the other half race in the 'B' Final. THERE WILL BE POINTS FOR BOTH FINALS, therefore two lots of trophies too. That means more points for the newer drivers and more trophys all round.

This is the only way we can make it fair for as many drivers as possable, without having everyone racing on the track at the same time. Driver safty is important, as is the chance for drivers to earn points and reach the heady heights of the 'A' Final.

We are still looking for reliable folks to marshal the track on raceday, and lap scorers too, if your intrested, contact Norman on race day.

A reminder that we are also looking for a trainee Assistant Starter for next season, if your intrested, reliable and can keep track of cars racing, then see Mr Starter on Sunday!

Its a meeting on Sunday for all 1400c.c. bangers out there, so dig out your cars n get racing.

I have been talking to many banger drivers, trying to find out why numbers are reduced and the action is not as great as before. The general reason is cars are harder to get hold of, as in Unlimited Bangers and drivers are aware that some drivers are being allowed to race with armour (which is not in the rule book). Its all got a bit buddy buddy too, so loads more rodding amnd much less bangering. Therefore I have decided to open up a debate, after all its a members club, not a few select people on the committees club. Have your say. should we have MORE 1400c.c. banger meetings .. MORE 2LTR meetings and reduce the Unlimited meetings ? Should we have more fun meetings with say Escort van racing and ramp racing.. We need to inject the fun and attraction back into racing bangers at Warton and not go the same was a Barrow or other tracks. In order to survive we need to change with the times. The Ministox, Super Bangers and Stock Cars are unfaultable at the moment with close action packed racing, but most spectators who visit the track, and are not linked to a driver, come to see the bangers. I have also, with Paul Yeates, devised a fun meeting, its only an idea and not even been put up to the committee yet, but have a look and let me know what you think. CLICK HERE.

..and disgusted too! While you were at King of the Peaks, I spent the afternoon picking up shedloads of litter, including disgusting dirty nappies. It amazes me that so many people manage to find the track, yet so few manage to put empty cans, bottles and other rubbish in the bins provided.

I was not alone at the track today, Graham Hayhurst and Norman Fryer had been there since the morning... But that was it.. So thanks for the support ....

Heres an odd request.. A garage I sell stuff to in Southport, is tryin to rebuild an original F reg Lotus car and needs a few bits.

The mens loos are to be repaired after some kind soul vandalaised them on Sunday.

We are looking for a NEW assistant Starter for next season. You need to attend ALL Warton meetings and be able to keep track of all the cars while they are racing. Training will begin ASAP. If your intrested then contact Mr Starter (Paul Naylor) as soon as you can.

What a blinking long committee meeting that was, loads to get through and loads to disagree about.. 'n' it were hot in the room too.. That said on the way back, in a Granny owned by Mr Pennington, we were flashed at and a hand pointed out of another car with the words one light just about audable. So any pulled into Forton Services assuming he had a bulb out or summot, only to have this other car follow us and a very Scottish couple get out and start saying how Grannies were/are the best cars ever made and that they wanted another one and how they 'more than Love Granadas'. It was very surreal, I felt like I had landed in a Little Britain or League of Gentlemen live show, I even looked round for the hidden cameras, after about 15 minutes we managed to escape and sped home....

Also yesterday I found and took pics of more tin for the HESP, so have a look. Does anyone have a spare engine for Paul Woods car, for free, (Pic on HESP page) otherwise he will have to bring a Crappi :(

So the Chat Room and Forum are being a tad tempramental, they are BOTH supplied by the same people, so I assume that the problem is at their end, so keep tryin and no doubt it will be sorted soon.

The guestbook has been VERY busy since Sunday, and all positive too! More fun next meeting, its the 1400c.c. bangers.. so Micras, and plenty of other lil cars crashin and bashing. Lets hope its as much fun as the Metro meeting. If any drivers have any rare tin lined up for the meeting let me know ASAP :)

Committee meeting is tomorrow... So thats my night planned out then...

So its now four years that Wartononline.com has been around, the site was bangers2000 before that and started life as snork.clara.net many years ago. Thanks for all your support and for putting up with me and even let me get onto the committee, its been a rollercoaster and long may it continue, at least til 2010 :).

Almost at 200,000 hits, remember it only counts each pc once every twentyfour hours, no matter how often that PC visits the site, so if there was only one PC in the world looking at the site it would take almost 550 years to get the counter to 200,000 hits.. That blows my mind a tad, time for a wee drink methinks CHEERS.

No the police did not come to look at my van, or take fingerprints!

Another Steam rally this weekend, this time it twere the St Micheals one. Sadly I won't be there, seeing as my van was broken into last night (well about 5:30 AM). Im writing this at 6AM after calling the police... Lets waint n see if they bother to show up in person...

All this the day before the sites 4th birthday... Hey hoo

..and I was going to go on about how good Live 8 was, I even signed petition (as SnOrK of course)... Ahhh welll

A reminder to those who visit Warton who wish to buy PS2 or XBOX games off me, I can/will bring them to the track every race meeting, so if your intrested in a game let me know before the meeting as I am limited in quanitity of stock. Note that on the SnOrKs StOrE website, most games now have a link to the back cover, just click where you see the pointer turn into a hand.
