The track is looking quite smart after paint was splashed around today on the track and in the loos... Over 20 turned
out to help, thanks to each and every one of you. There was also some welding and fence repair work going on... We are
ready for MMIV... Lets rock n roll :)

Today saw the glamourous wedding of ex Unlimited Mini drivers Angela Fryer & Paul Postlthwaite (or summot like that) in
a posh hotel in posh part of Blackpool (yes there is one). The dress was described as posh, as was the look of our Leader and
little James. The cake was posh and the meal was very posh too... All in all it were a posh do. There are a few piccis up now
under the Civil War 6 Albums and more to follow. I expect a posh HEYUP! feature too in the near future.
I trust you will join me in wishing the posh couple, all the best for the future..

Final preps for Metal Mania... We need all drivers, who are racing bangers on 6th March to book in ASAP... Ring Val and
e-mail myself to get yourself on the list... and let us sort out number of heats and the like.. Thank you.
There was a fair response to the request for flag marshals for the upcoming season. Please contact us if your intrested
in joining our little team. We also need lap counters as a matter of emergency.. So mail me, or Norman ASAP.
On the 27th Feb (a week Sunday) your track needs you.. To help paint it and get it ready for MMIV. Bring a brush, black or white
paint and join in.. After 10AM ..
If you wish to save a tenner on becoming a member of Warton Stock Car Club and, unlike 62 others, failed to make it
to the regestration meeting, you can, by sending a cheque to Shirley at the address below, along with a photo and your
address and race number and contact phone number.

Barra seems to have sorted its self out and got the go ahead for this season.. All but one of its 12 meetings are
NOT clashing with ours..March 20th. April 3rd & 24th. May 22nd. June 5th & 19th.
July 31st. August 14th. September 4th & 18th. October 23rd. and November 13th. All THEIR meetings start at 1PM for more

We have had our first committee meeting of 2005.. and here are the details you may be intrested in.
Ministox will join the Bangers at Metal Mania IV and the Ministox will race for POINTS!!!
All meetings will start at noon this season.
The Practice Day is 13th March from 10AM til 3PM (£20 per car)
Membership will cost £50, if you pay before 28th Feb, £60 from 1st March and you CAN pay £10 per meeting, but you
will NOT receive points until you are a fully paid up member of the club. Points will NOT be backdated, the first points
you get will be on the meeting you get your licence. If you wish to become a member this way you MUST tell Shirley when
you pay your first £10.
We need reliable flag marshals.. Its a paid job at the track and we need people who will be at every meeting, barring holidays etc.
If your intrested contact either myself or Norman.
We need lap scorers for this season too, if your up for sitting in a hut with a window with a grandstand view of the track, and can count,
then please contact Norman.
The Stockkarts are returning, greater in numbers and only 1 date so far confirmed, 11th Sept.
Junior Bangers meetings have been sorted, they are as follows.. 1st May, 10th July (Metro meeting) and 27th Dec.
Talking of Metros, we want to have a ten on ten with the Police again this year, so we need people to volenteer to supply
Metos ready to race for the Police with flashing lights and Hi Vis lines etc.. Or just white with a red 'jam butty' stripe
Please let us know if you are able to help.
Ministox will be on the track BEFORE the drivers meeting, rather than lining up.. Its in order to get the meeting off
to a quicker start. Note all harnesses will be checked on the track before the race begins.
ALL DRIVERS MUST BE AT DRIVERS MEETINGS, no exceptions.
Banger drivers, good news, crush tubes are to be allowed.... But they are not compulsary.. They are optional.

Someone was over heard saying, at tonights A.G.M., 'Great now we got an effing photographer on the committee'... and
indeed this person is right... I am, however, more than a snapper in the middle of the track, I have ideas and half a brain
and will, with the committee, push Warton Stock Car Club forward in 2005. Thank you to all who voted for me and those who

I have decided to give the 6th Civil War TWO albums to store the photos in.. The main album has over 100 ACTION photos
and under it, in the list, is the second Album, this has over 240 static photos, (fresh cars & wrecks etc). Feel free
to look at em, and add congrts to our boys in the Guestbook.
I heard that this was Mark Bonds (Incarace not MI7) last meeting in charge, so I wish him well for the future.
Stu Kearsley wrote in the NEW Northern Steam (Issue 42, £1) that, and I quote.. 'Barras future is looking a little murky at the minute' ..
'Workington isn't happening in 2005 either which is a shame I think' ... 'So if these two tracks don't run will the
Warton management take the initiative and pick up on these homeless drivers ? No comment.' End quote.
Speaking personally, I really hope that Barra does get itself sorted and up n running this season, and that they and
Warton can work with, not against, each other to further our sport in the years to come. That said, if it all goes
'Pete Tong' its an oppertunaty to make Warton a bigger and better place in the future. I feel we must support the drivers and spectators of any track
that is unable to continue running. Warton is already a great track, and is getting a better name after last season. We
must keep the ball rolling and grasp any positive we can get our hands on..
Its possably NEVER BEEN SO IMPORTANT to vote
a committee that can take Warton Stock Car Club into a brighter future.. The A.G.M. is on Wednesday (THIS WEDNESDAY)..
If you are a member of the Club.. Love your Club.. Want the best for your Club.. YOU MUST TAKE TIME OUT AND USE YOUR VOTE.
Im not asking for you to vote for anyone directly, that includes myself, but vote for the future of Warton Stock Car Club.

Normal service was resumed today when the North beat the Southern softies in an impressive Civil War 6 at Arena Essex
today. Too many highlights to mention, the only low light being the slow speed that the wrecks, and there were plenty of them, were removed
from the track.. If you made the long trek down to watch our lads, then Im sure you had a great day, if you did'nt, then
be ashamed of yourselves.
All our lads did well, inc the Woods brothers, Team V, Stinkbridge and the Levellers.. It was a team effort and it showed.
A big thank you to WASTED n Nigel, with whom I got a lift, and we made the trip, in around three hours, both ways, which aint that
bad at all..
Over 260 photos going up right now... with loads of, I hope, propper action photos tomorrow!!!

I have recieved an e-mail saying that I am allowing my guestbook to become biased toward a certain side in the upcoming
committee vote.. Please note, I have had zero responses in support of Mick & Bens takeover bid. The only entries that
will be disallowed or removed are ones which are offensive. But as I have said before.. This season just gone has been great
and it would be a shame to see the club slide backwards.. Each member gets eight votes, us them wisely for who you think can add
on the success and goodwill acheived in 2004.

SUPER BANGERS - Start in points order

SUPER BANGERS - Mesh in window optional
SUPER BANGERS - Bulkhead to remain intact. So keeping engine in engine bay for all cars post 2004 season
METROS - The Metro meeting changed to a 1400cc meeting. i.e. Escorts & Sunnies
HARNESS - 4 point harness not less than 3" wide
HELMETS - Type A E22-05 mark snell 2000 or on. Fibre Glass and kevlar combination, they are acceptable. No plastic
moulded or plastic injected or plastic or carbon combinations

A total new look to the website, after 3 years of the old stlye getting a paintjob every year
I figured time for a total new look.. Hope you like it. Its menu driven , that means menu buttons
all over the place, if you get lost though, just click on the wartononline.com logo at top of
every page to return to the index page (start). Im writing this in August, with shed loads of work still to
do on the site yet. the archive section takes you to the old site, via a link, as everything from
now on will be brand new. All the old reports and stuff will remain up and are also accessed
by the archive section.
Gypo Jim went to hospital after Mondays meeting, and was sent home after they discovered he had a bruised spine and neck.
so thats another Warton lucky escape.. No doubt he will return for Metal Mainia.
The A.G.M. is on Wednesday 26th January at the ex-servicemans club in Carnforth. IF YOU ARE A MEMBER its IMPORTANT YOU
USE YOUR VOTE. I AM A MEMBER NOW and will be using my vote for what I consider the good of the club. Don't let the back biting
and the "one rule for my mates, one for people I'm not keen on" get back on the committee. Best way is TREAT EVERYBODY THE SAME. If there
is fighting EVERYONE gets treated the same. In a dispute EVERYONE gets to put their point accross. How would you like to be treated
if something happens to you or one of your family or mates, would you like to be dismissed out of hand or treated fairly ?
Use your vote!! Keep Warton Stock Car Club a members club and a fair club where people want to travel too to race. Do you want
the notes in the back of the program to be insulting to visitors to the track, or other racers, or even yourself... Giving
the Club a bad name again, something which we are just getting rid of now.. Take the Club forward, USE YOUR VOTE, don't send
it back to the dark ages, the club won't survive another dark age!!! So VOTE VOTE VOTE.....
