Action photos are back. Though one of the films has half the pictures missing. Im going back to
shop tomorrow to find out whats happened. In the meantime the rest of them will go up tonight!
So... It just shows how much we rely on Bad Newz for banger action! They were AWOL (poss due to
Daves ban) and the bangers were dull for it. Mind you not having THB and only 1 Invader didnt
help much. Full report will go up later.
I have had an e-mail off TC who is wondering if there is anybody who can loan him a rollcage
and door plate for a Metro he has built for the Metro meeting. He may consider buying the stuff,
if its cheap enough. Contact TC at E-Mail
It sems very quiet, a minor barney in the guestbook and thats it. That said the For sale section
is still very busy.
Points n results up, report went up last nite.
Its all getting heavy and serious, so heres a bit of fun, apologies to the people involved.
Click here, and you could have a new career
Thats the only word to describe the action today... It was good fun too.
Yup it seems that the Roadworks on the M6 have returned. You need to go into the nearside lane,
next to hard shoulder, othwise you will end up in Kendal .... And you don't wanna do that.
I have been in contact with Colin Bunyard, who informs me that there should be around 14
Stockkarts coming up next Sunday to race. Also that it costs £120 to hire a Stockkart for the
days racing.. More details in their site Forum, via links page, or lowerdown this one!
A few years back I had a team racing for me at the team meeting, shortly after Bad Newz were
born, featuring a few drivers from my team. This year Fat Daz & mate raced for me, and guess wot..
He is forming a new team, with the wartononline.com paint job.. The name of the team ?? Well
that would be telling, but it ait half good.. So watch this space to see what occurs.
While looking at the bandwith report I came accross this load of info... Its impressive reading.
From the Unofficial Warton Website.. R8ted by you yet STILL h8ted by the committee...
The points are updated (don't forget that the Stock Cars and Super Bangers were racing for points
on Sunday). The official results are up too, via report page.
I have had to buy another 50% bandwith, as the 2000Mb a month I currently have, is not enough.
The irony of all this is, I have no idea what bandwith is, but I do know that it means the site
is getting used more.... Least I think it is.... Lets hope 3000Mb is enough for a while!
I will be posting the action photos during the day.. and what a day yesterday was... Vote in the
Forum as to if it was the BEST MEETING EVER!!!!
I doubt any meeting will beat this one for the SnOrK AwArD this year.. It was awesome. Big thanks
to Fat Daz and Wrinkly Wrecker who raced for my team, and did well... Also thanks to Carl for
helping WW out big time with the loan of his safety gear. A big thanks to the massive crowd
who cheered my cars on for first too heats and thanks to ALL the drivers for showing us that
banger racing can be hard and tuff, but they still helped each other on and off the track. The
spirit of the day helped make it a good one. A big well done to the Invaders who won the £1000
prize money, # 340 Jonathan Atkinson who got hit of the day.. (see picture). Blooz Boyz who
won best turned out team and the best tin winner, Chip, with the awesome 1953 car. My personal best
paintjob award went to the Viva, of Scurr, but sadly he doesnt win owt for that.
or ring Val 01524 416169..... Do it now or it will be too late to book in your team for
Sundays £2000 prize fund meeting.... You know it makes sense
OK Photos back and will go up shortly, including a near roll, or too, jumps and head ons like
we aint seen in a while.. Yup these are ACTION PHOTOS.... 110 of them, adding to the 115 digital
photos put up yesterday.
Wot a day that was, best wishes to # 444 Lucy Hyphenated, who was taken to hospital after a
nasty crash. It seems it may be a knee injury, so all the best and hope your back racing soon.
The Ministox seemed a little more accident prone today with # 999 Darrell Shaw and # 3 Saint
were also in the wars... Hope your both ok soon too.
Oh Paul Woods page was updated a while back, I forgot to tell you though..
Ok then, after much rejoicing, well a quick drink, back to the real reason for this site being here,
keeping you lot informed. Less than a week til the STOCK KARTS race at Warton and the Ministox
return, with the restrictors fitted... Wot will it mean for them.. Will I get to race in a Stock
Kart, if so, how many bones will I break, who will drive my car back home... So many questions
and no answers as of yet.
The site has passed the 100,000 visitor mark today! Remember only 1 hit per computer per day.
In order to recreate this with one PC you would have to log on for 100,000 days, or every day
for over 273 years!!!!
Yup the action pix are back... Six rolls of them, so around 150. I willput them online in batches
of 50 during the day...so keep popping back.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Sarah Potts, who may have a broken ankle after 'the incident'
before the Jnr Banger final. Its not up to me to say anymore on this, but I'm sure most
other folks wish you well too. Latest Update Sarah is home and has a cracked ankle.. Shes
going back to hospital for a check up on Thursday.
OK less than 24 hours til we race again, Paul is ready n prepped, even has a car to race at Sheffield
on Monday... I know that young Craig is racing in the Jnr Bangers for the Invaders
The other GREAT Northern Website, CRASHZONE, has up that Barrow is cancelled on Bank Holiday
Monday, So don't go ... Unless you want to look at Barrows great historical sights. Check with
club for confirmation.
I have been informed that our mates, the police, are after motorists again. Mr Bell, # 19 Super
Banger driver has warned me that :
Well I would have put Riverbank, but I'm referring to Cowdie World Cup on Saturday night. Non
of our lads became world champion, and Dan Steele's car was destroyed beyond recognition. I
went to see Paul Woods earlier today and he said that No Bad Newz turned up (so the list was right)
and the Levellers, Stinkbridge and DAHMBusters all entertained. Paul did quite well in the first
heat, 'I think I was running second, but the track was blocked, I went in and waited, then
was duly followed in by the driver of the car I had just hit, brother! The engine was broke, so
we changed it and the gearbox in 25 minutes, but as I went out on the grid, the prop shaft snapped
and that was that'. The Invaders made it home at around 6AM Sunday morning!
That said 25 minutes to change a gearbox and engine!! That's impressive, its almost as
quick as the first pit stop of Jenson Button on Sunday! EP VIDEOs were there and you can, like me,
order one via their page on this site. Paul also said that the WALL seems to suck cars into it
and they just snap... I canna wait til the DVD arrives :)
Tomorrow night it the time for Cowdies World Cup 2004 and time to wish our Warton drivers good
luck and a safe trip. Woodsy, Dan Steele, defending Champion Alan Lewis and Andrew Molloy carry
the Warton banner.... Along with regulars Sam Begley, the Levellers and others, they will be
trying their best to bring the title back to the Northwest. Latest drivers list, and IMPORTANT
travel details are here.
I am getting asked more and more about the visiting Stock Karts in May and June and can inform
you that they are Karts, but not as you know them from Blackpool prom. These tiny monsters can
reach speeds of 50 miles an hour, and have roofs complete with stock car like wings
The engines are 390 CC Honda 4 stroke and they have
rolling starts like the F1 and F2 stock cars and are in their second season. Another note is
that the Warton legs are WQ rounds.. So I would imagine a full turn out of Karts. For more
info visit their website www.stockkarts.co.uk for
more details.
The World Cup drivers list landed in my Inbox today. It seems that Warton is feilding a good
number of drivers, most of Bad Newz, Dan Steele, Andy Molloy, Paul Woods, Alan Lewis (the
defending Champion). The full list of drivers is
here
Important info from Alan Panther if your travelling to RACEWALL this weekend.
Im going to do a new wallaper later today....
Bangers, and other classes too, you will be put to the back of the grid if you do not have the
correct roof colour, given to you by the club. For Stock cars this can be a number plate size
pannel, but for bangers, its the whole roof!
What a great day today was.. Fantastic weather, i got a red face from the sun, but fantastic
action on the track, special early mentions to:
Thanks to Traffic watch Sarah Potts, who informs me the roadworks have gone and things are running
smooth up there... Ta for that.
Is there anybody out there who knows if the roadworks on M6 near Junction 35 are still there or not.
If they are do I need to reprint the directions that I posted from the practice meeting ?? E-mail
me or post in guestbook or forum.
