 Is this a taste of the new look? Even I don't know that Ok so all photos up from Crimbo meeting. Thats 150. Im sorting out and fine tuning the new look site for 1st Jan... So bear with me, I will try and get report written before then too, along with NEW wallpaper and other bits.. Thanks to the kind folks who bought me diirty beer on Sunday. The silver WKDs will go down well :)
This year 2003, has been the must successfull, and frustrating year to date. More than doubling the hit counter, it was 38,000 at the end of 2002 and now is over 80,000. the downside was the Stalker, who made me hate doing the site, wondering what was going to get robbed next.. So I have spent a while introducing ways in stopping him messing things up in the future.. But lets look forward to 2004!!! A new chairman & committee, Metal Mainia 3 and sorting out once and for all what the hell to do with Unlimited Minis.. Doubt we can double the counter again, but I look forward to having a drink as we pass the 100,000 mark. Thanks again for all your support for the site and what I do, I would have quit if I hadnt made such good mates via this site. I hope to be able to continue to write reports and take piccis at Warton for a good while longer and you never know... I MIGHT become the Officail site one day.... Then again its more fun being a renegade site.. I trust MORE cars will sport wartononline.com in 2004 and that you will vote for the SnOrK AwArDs, which will be ready by the first.. Its the closed season, but its all still going on :)

That was fun.. wasnt it?
 It will end in tears! Well contraversy a plenty as the Super Bangers were joined by three Unlimited Minis. It all kicked off after # 44 Ste Smith took the heat 1 win. Heat 2, Ste did not race, but another car # 688 hit a car into wall. # 688 was blacked flagged and he pulled up, to only be given the win as 'he was leading the race and it is a contact sport'. The reason Ste Smith was not in heat 2 ? Because he had contact with the Supers... Oh well It will sort itself out one day!. There was laods of action in all classes too with # 169 in his Stock Car from a posh cracker, spinning around, the kids splatting each other and the bangers giving action all over! Inc. a great roll by SHOVY!! Yer gotta laff!

 ERM I'M NOT.. NO PIC! Dispite having weeks and weeks to prep for tomorrow, I bet loads of you are running round in a panic right now getting yer cars to start! That said I too have messed up. I need new camera battery, film and batteries for digicam plus photos from presentation night too! So I'm off for a walk to Wigan and back, having a mild panic as I go..
All this and I'm not sure how I'm going to get there yet! Still no car!!!

 Yup they racing Super Bangers ARE racing on 28th along with a couple of Unlimited Minis at the sametime.. So least we know now.
I am working on a new look for 2004 as you read this, if you have any ideas or suggestions for new sections then feel free to let me know.. I will try to add them, then again I might think the idea is poo poo lol

The cameras on the M6 are for Traffic Master, to check for congestion, it seems they are replacing the blue ones. Note there are these new fangled speed cameras on the Thellwall Viaduct though.. so watch your speed!
My courtesy car has been taken away now.. Which means I have no car at all. Mine was written off yesterday by an engineer, he must be crap (thinkabout it)

 Excitement mounts . Image copyright INCARACE The fifth Civil War is at Hednesford on 11th Jan at noon, but get there early... A new page will be sorted with news etc about CWV later today or tomorrow!
SUPER BANGER DRIVERS HAVE 1 DAY LEFT TO BOOK IN. If enough book in you can race on the 28th if there ain't enough then no super bangers will race on the 28th, though Unlimited bangers, Jnr bangers and Warton Stock Cars will make it a great action packed day anyway, its always one of my favourite meetings the Christmas one!
Site has been neglected recently, excluding the advent wallpaper, but things have calmed down at home and I now have time to sort the site out and catch up with updating various sections, thank you for your patience

Is it or isnt it?
 Wots this green camera for??? Further to the disscusion regarding new speed cameras on the M6, I took this picture today of new cameras being put up on the bridge over the M6 near junction 26. Wot is it? What does it do. How many are there? Why ain't they plugged in?? Anyway just thought it was of interest.

A rant
 Why? OK nothing to do wiv Warton, or any other track. But the Mersey Wave... Why? Why spend money on such a useless small thing. What does it do? Why is it so small, what did it cost. I drive past the site a great deal, but looking at he posters, showing what it would look like, it looked huge and impressive. They have built it now and its tiny and pointless, well there are a few points, but no real reason for it exsisting. Its near John Lennon Airport, so maybe thats why its tiny, but why not build it somewhere else, like Aintree and make it look impressive. It makes you wonder what goes on in the minds of folks in charge, it really does!

A Warning
 The M6 at night The new electronic signs on the M6 were switched on yesterday (02/12/03).The BAD NEWS is that they are rigged with the "SPECS" speed cameras. (This probably applies to all the new signs being installed on the M62, M60 and M56) SPECS is a computer-camera based system. As you go past the sign, a digital camera reads your number plate. When you go past the next sign your number plate is read again. The computer 'knows' how far apart the signs are, so it can work out your average speed between the two, or three or four. The system is fully automatic and will issue a 'ticket' without any form of human intervention. It does this for every single vehicle that passes. You will not know you have been caught as the cameras don't flash. They work 24/7, 52 weeks a year and theoretically, there's absolutely no limit on the number of 'tickets' that the system can issue. The whole section of the M6 between Knutsford and Preston is wired both ways. The system is set to trigger a ticket at 78 mph. (Don't take this as a guarantee!). Snooper type detectors will be of no use as SPECS is entirely passive, there is no radar or laser beam to detect.
Thanks to Wizzround for that! I have been aware of these cameras for a while now and mentioned that Sainsbury petrol stations use the number plate reading software to stop fraud.
Those of you, who are intrested, that will be two, I have now got a car, a loverly Punto! Yer gotta laff!

Don't forget
 Super bangers racing?? If your a Super Banger driver, or know one, you MUST book in before 18th December if you want to race on the 28th. Contact Mick or Shirley as soon as poss. Its just to make sure there will be enough to race on the day.
Also if you ARE a member and want to be on the committee, you must get yourself nominated by two other members and notify Shirley on or before the 28th Dec. Failure to do this will result in you not be able to get voted on.. So think on..
My car is STILL outside my house, but hopefully,will go to be either fixed or written off tomorrow. And I may get a car in the meantime.. fingers crossed.

 There are enough Ministox!! Right anonther update from Philippa,
. Yes your racing - we have enough of both classes booked in. 23 Stock Cars booked in for Workington on Sat 29th November 14 Junior Minis booked in. If 12 or more Minis turn up to race then they will get 3 races otherwise only 2 races. Pits open at 4.30pm, first race Minis at 6.30pm Directions to the track M6 to J40 Penrith Take A66 West, past Keswick and Cockermouth to Workington. On entering Workington the track is signed. So there ya go

 Will there be enough Ministox? Right an update from Philippa, 21 Warton Stock Cars have confirmed, so they are OK to race, though check with Philippa before you set of. Ministox are up to 8 confirmed, but there must be ten to race, if there are, and theres three maybes, then ministox will get two races. If they get up to 12 cars then there will be three races. Ministox FIRST race will be at 6:30PM (NOT 7PM as on Startrax website (Via links page).
Unlimited bangers MUST book in via Startrax ASAP, so they know numbers. If you don't book you won't race. Contact Startrax via my links page.

 Two pints!---oooh wher. A NEW Nickname ??? WORKINGTON Invite Startrax have invited Warton Stock Cars and Ministox to race at their track on 29th Nov. 28 of our Stock cars said they were intrested in racing at our last meeting and 10 Ministox showed an interest. YOU NEED to inform Philippa weather you are going or not There is a minimum of 15 cars in a class to race, Barrow and Barford have been asked to add to the Ministox numbers. Also telephone Philippa BEFORE you set out, to make sure your going to get to race. 015395 58718 . The track is a lovely smooth shale oval, with nice banked bends, but tight out of the corners into the straights. Oh and no I am not going, sorry.

Morning after that night
 Even Danny gets stuck in What a great night that was!!! ALL 200 photos up now, they went up at 3AM, but I went to bed. Well done to all the trophy winners and I don't just mean the tin cups! There was more loving in the room than in a hippys' house after happy ciggies.
It all started well enough, but it just got better and better. Highlights included Lee & that gurl, the raffle, when I won a prize, a toy monster truck, and Barbie & One Eye getting back the flask that they had donated to the raffle, which they gave me as a late birthday pressie, which I gave to the Duck as a late wedding present, which he gave to Barbie & One Eye as a house warming gift! Yer gotta laff.
I also got a quick chat with Dan Steele, who told me his dad was well on the mend and that Dan had become a father again, though a few weeks to early. So congrats to you and hope everything turns out OK. Also a sneak insight to the NEXT Super Banger Champion?? Well the lads who build and look after Mad Marts car seem to think its going to be him.
Oh and no one bought me a drink with the lid on so I could take it home..... sob.

 All pics up I forgot to congratulate # 491 John Mason and his girlfriend, John got Carl to ask Christine if she would do him the honour of agreeing to marry him. We waited an age for John to return to confirm she had said yes! (Another Warton first??). Anyway good luck to you both and don't forget, I photograph weddings, at a very reasonable rate, and can also post them on this site, where I can discreetly describe the day...

Latest rumour on Ray is that he has damaged ribs, but is OK other than that, I stress this is only a rumour!! But I hope its true.

DATELINE: 19th October 2003 Part II
Get well soon Ray..
 Not a good day for Ray.. # 40 Ray Steele had a nasty knock today at the track. He was in his car which got caught up in the banger smash of the day. Ray was only on the outside of the wreck, but span in front of another Steeles driver who hit him hard in the drivers door. The doorplate, which was very thick, bent and clobbered Ray in his mid rift. He was cut out and taken to hospital, where it was feared that he may have damaged his liver. Dan was overheard saying that it was a racing incident, but it was a serious one. I wish Ray and the family all the best for a full & speedy recovery. And no matter what you think of the Steeles, no one deserves to get hurt in such a way, so if you can't be supportive, maybe its better you say nowt.
That said, it was another great day in all classes with some new winners and some old scores to settle, report up later and digital photos up very soon. I'm off now to have some tea and get warm....

 A Warton first??? Yup Andy Pennington is returning to Warton today, after his ban has finished. In a Rolls Royce which looks good, don't believe me? Well take a look in the photos section... Andy has said that this is not the last Rolls Royce he will be bringing.. Its a first, for TMK, though they have a good few bangers out, as do Bad Newz and some guys from Barrow! Get your bum into gear and get to Warton NOW!!!

Also bad news about Mark Thomas of TMK, remember them?, Mark is in hospital after a nasty work related accident that send a large piece of metal into his eyeball. Its still there despite a few ops, there is going to be a major op in the near future, I and I'm sure you, wish Mark all the best and hope that he makes a fast, speedy and a full recovery..
Have I mentioned that this Sunday the racing starts at NOON!!?? I have? Good your learning, but tell your mates, not everyone has the internet or was at the last meeting.. Don't be late.

A rumor says that # 512 Ernie, of Invaders, won a heat at the Pre68 meeting in his wedding car and even got through to the final, but didnt win that! Not heard if car caught on fire or if he passed out.. More news when I get it.
Have you noticed the above scrolling thing saying that the next meeting, 19th Oct, now starts at NOON and not 1PM, so get there early :)

 pics r great.. i hope that is the only word that can explain the days racing at Warton today. Infact it came from all classes again, with close finishes, two spectacular rolls and promising starts for new drivers and cars. I have 79 digital pics to get up and will start the report soon too. Though Im hungry so I'm off to get summot to eat :)

Noon start
 F2 Action Racing starts at NOON this Sunday....... NOON as in 1 hour earlier than normal.. Midday, 12 O'Clock. So dont say I didnt tell you !
I am also ill, I got that virus thats going around.. I hope I have got rid of it by Sunday.. Any tips on how to get rid of it without tablets or medicene. I thank you. Oh anyone know how to fix my central heating system... ?? Well if yer dont ask :)
