I new nothing about this game.. at all. But saw it at ASDA for Ł29.99 and thought, 'Oh what the hell'. I got it home stuck it in my XBOX. As the Championship started I was startled to find out if was a Super Sprint (Micro Machines) type racing game. 3 2 1 Gooo... and off they all went, race over ? Huh?? restart 3 2 1 Gooo... I just about kept up, oh hang on, off the edge of the cliff and I'm in a ball of flames.. race over... Grrr. Oh hang on, its not over, it seems I'm loosing points, not the race. Later I suss out that you gain and loose points... If you win enough, you win the race. The point of the game is to stay in the screen without falling too far behind, or falling off the track. you win points by:

Getting far enough ahead that the other cars fall behind and off the screen.

Pushing the other cars off the track, or into walls etc.

Destroying the other cars by using various weapons dotted around the track.

Just plain being first at the end of the race!
There are also various types of race too in Mashed:

Standard you against the computer cars (who do fight with each other at times).

You against a team off two cars.

You in pursuit of another car.

You with a bomb on board, having to complete two laps before the bomb goes boom

There is also a shed full of multiplayer games and even more tracks and fun stuff. This is a fun arcade game, difficult at first to control, but bear with it, its ruddy good fun, about time too....
