So, I feel most would agree that, it was not a classic meeting, but it was not crap either. There was some action in the Ministox and Stock cars, the highlight, in the Ministox, being Josh Quinlan #232 getting t-boned by #161 nick I-H after Josh cut in too early on exiting the far corner. As far as I am aware it was his first ever race! #343 Lee Wrennall had a good day with a total of three wins and a third. Nick had a mixed race in heat two, he was span out by #101 James Hayhurst, he the 'accidentally' span out James straight away, James remained calm and despite rejoining close together there was no further contact. James went on to win the final, after #811 Richard Parker got docked a lap for overtaking when yellow flags were waved after yet another side panel had to be collected off the track. #18 Andrew Molloy got put out of the Grand National with a spin and a puncture. He had had a good day, by his standards and admission, he got 2 second places and a forth. That should make a difference in the points table.. The Stocks had a fair day, few accidents and #234 Jason Lord got two wins and his dad, Jack, got a second and a third. I had better not mention how Glenn got on... #330 had a fair to good day again, with good clean racing and the final again was won by #5 Jonathan Clarkson. The bangers were the main feature... just, it was a poor turnout, due to there being other 'big' meetings around the country. This site had three teams, Wartononline.com team 'A', team 'b' and team c you when you get there! Deano Steele made a welcome return to banger racing in heat one for the Steeles Wreckers. There were plenty of wrecks, all over the place, wreck of the race was #319 Shovy, who ended up looking well bent, and no I don't mean he had a Michael Barrymore mask on! Big Hoss, #168 of DAHMbusters took the win, #352 Nick Hird got a fantastic second place (Team Wartononline.com 'B') and #169 Little Hoss got third. All my other heroic drivers were unfairly taken out of the race and I am going to appeal to the house of Lords about it! Though less messy, heat two had a Warton Crush, #449 Mark 'Badboy' Thomas was in a well deserved good lead, until he was unfairly hit by some pillock from another team and hit the wall... It was not fair!!! There was chalk dust! He should not have been taken out! AARRGGHHH! There were some good follow ins on other nasty teams cars and some crap ones on the wartononline.com team cars ! Though Team 'C' had still not arrived! #518 Jon Woods (Invader) took an unair and disgraceful win. #512 Alan Woods (Invaders) got a jammy second place with #410 third (jammy git). My team 'C' arrived in time for the B Final. that meant I had six wartononline.com hero drivers lined up! Amazingly not one of them finished! All were taken out of the race in various unfair ways.. such as engine failure (sabotage) and driver dooring, though done sneakily by hitting only the bits of the car that were not the drivers doors! It was a disgrace! My lads were robbed and though its a game of two halves, there should have been lap counters who can see through the window of their caravan. I demand a recount! rant, moan and grumble. Deano was given the win, despite him only being in the lead at the end of the race (what's that about ??) #801 John Black (wartononline.com team C) was rolled by a TDB car getting under him and another wartononline.com car pushing him over!... How unfair is that?? I smell an conspiracy! The A final saw THREE Wartononline.com cars out to take on the evil that was EVERYONE else! #352 Nick Hird (Wartononline.com B) finished in fine form, with some other cheating guys in front of him. #350 Lee Hird (Wartononline.com B) took himself out in a sporting gesture to let the other, worse, drivers to get a chance of some points. He hit the outer wall after 'my throttle stuck on full' which most everyone else believed. The points were: DAHMHaters: 48 points Invaders: 39 points Steeles Wreckers: 25 points Oggie's team and Wartononline.com team 'B' both had 19 points Then it was time for the DD! Around 20 bangers lined up for it.. and most were up for it.. Except #362 Jim Royale, who heroically drove round without hitting anyone... The field was whittled down to a few runners... #518 got well clobbered by Deano.. Hirdy, of Wartononline.com, got his rear axel moved to three inches from his head.. Mr Bullett also took home a very unstraight motor.. but the trophies were taken home by the cheating, jammy gits DAHMhaters.. With a rather sheepish looking nasty '#2' Rik, to be fair it had not been the nasty ones day, but he still got a big trphy, not that I'm bitter.. Well OK maybe I thought we had a chance to get some of my £120 back... Still theres always next year :) Team 'B' got forth place.. Think you can do better, I am taking names for next year, I think if I can get 10 teams it may just pay off :) SnOrK
