ARRGGHH they comming right at me!

Right then.. Here goes.. Around 30 races to get through here! (Clears throat)...
Our Ministox had spins in heat one for Stuntman and #56 Dale 'Double D' Douglas and #206 Robert 'Single D' Dale pulled out of the race. #101 Jamie Hayhurst took the win with #343 Smiler Wrennall second and #811 Yus M'lady Parker third. heat two saw a good few spins with #3 Shaun 'Saint' Twist spinning #161 Nick Hyphenated and a good few others having their own little accidents. M'Lady would have been pleased as Parker took the win, Smiler second and Jamie third! Josie Schofeild driving 223, spent most of the race with a flat tyre, not that that stopped her.. then it all went very daft in the last lap.. #344 Hayley Parkinson ripped a wheel off as loads of others went for a wrecking spree all over the track. #16 Thomas Hall had a big spin, as did #928 Steven Dodd's, this also caught out the front runners including #343 Smiler, who recovered to take the win followed by Parker & Jamie. Smiler then got to ride round on the truck with two 'dolly birds' and my God he Smiled!!!!! It felt lake ages till the Grand National, and the lads must have got a bit tired waiting, seeing as #223 Josie Schofield was well in the lead most of the race. But, like Barrachello (You know who I mean), Josie had some bad luck, bad luck as in she crashed into the inner wall and was out. #928 Steven 'spinning top' Dodd's had another big spin and this took out Parker who alone with many others ploughed into steve. Though Hayley had had her car fixed, she did not finish. #999 Darrell Shaw took an impressive win, add him to my lists of ones to watch next season, with #343 Beaming Wrennall second and Jamie getting third, then he promptly broke down, well he didn't, I mean his car did!
Was Ste Smith scared to race after not winning last time in the Unlimited Minis? No, he couldn't be arsed moving his F2 car, which is in a million bits, to get his mini out. That said I doubt he could have done much about #134 Alex 'M.Boy' Chapman, who emphatically won EVERY race, could he be the next Champion? #25 Andy Yeats got a third & a couple of seconds, #345 Richard Pass grabbed two third places and #62 Dave 'Sexgod' Eccles got a second and a massive repair job, as his engine let go in heat two... Big Time!
The Supers Bangers seem to want to be in bangers... or at least full contact. #439 or is it #349 Jay 'Hitman' Kellett, regained his 'Rodder' nickname after behaving himself all day! The same could not be said of #181 Michael 'Hitman' Crigten who had great fun pushing and poking folks all day.. Heat one saw #100 Ann 'Peggy Butcher' Potts loose a wheel in a spat and Tut & Rodder Kellett also saw some bumps. Mick Creighton took the win and the Chevette finished too! Heat two and Peggy's repaired car liked to spin a bit, #944 Tam Cavanagh 'QC' went out after an early spin.. #19 Michael Bell pulled up next to me, hitting his steering wheel, dunno what that does to fix cars, but hey, I never claimed to be a mechanic. #244 Martin Makim took the well earned victory. #224 'Mad Max' Michael Ross got madder after being taken out by #964 Anthony Whittaker. Birthday Boy #274 Dave 'DC' Christopher took to the air, after taking the pit bend a little too wide, he recovered and finished in second place, just behind the angelic ness of Rodder Kellett. The Grand National was rather uneventful save for #351 Tut Knowles winning and Andy Molly's Dad, #772 Alan, getting a second place.
Warton Outlaws AKA Stock Cars had a scrappy first heat with many sustaining damage in the vast amount of contact that occurred! #717 Mark 'Bleep it' Duckett had his suspension hanging off, #112 Dean 'Doh!' Simpson went out after a crash into the pit wall, #54 Norman Robinson looked like he wanted a Pot Noodle, what with all the hot water coming from his car, #67 Peter Fawcett went out after a tangle. #2 Richard Ball started his Outlaw career and stayed out of trouble. #252 Darren Bentham got the win. heat two was a bit of a blur, as all I remember was two tangled cars leaping towards me as I stood there & took photos! They stopped before they got to me, but I kind of blanked out for a bit and missed who had won, though well done, who ever you are! The final, and Richard Ball took the lead from the start and held on well, until he span himself out. #5 Jonathan Clarkson blasted through to take the win. Luck was not with Jonathan in the Grand National, novice driver #85 Stuart Tydesley span out, by himself in front of Jonathan, and for some reason Jonathan span out in sympathy, there was no contact between the two, Jonathan hit the outer wall hard with the rear of his car and was then t-boned by #59 Mark Brook. This brought out the red flag and Ambulance, we all wish Jonathan well, though he did hobble away from his car.#347 Hoss Nelson took the win after the restart.
The Bangers were limited to smaller engines for this meeting & tin of the day went to a rare Triumph 200 driven by #149 Paul 'Duck' Gore in a rare appearance this season for him. #505 Ste 'Invader' took the win , in heat one, after taking out two women drivers in one go, #15 & #160, the latter in a Fiesta, yes I said Fiesta! Paul's Triumph got wrecked as did #139 Shagnasty (I was looking for his mate 'Smutley' but couldn't see him!) #157 Barry Greenhalgh got second with #61 following. Heat two saw Dan Steele out in a Capri. A car lost a wheel, which brought out the waved yellow flags, but some cars ignored them. This brought out the red flag and a black flag for BAM BAM, which I thought harsh, more so as he is in MY team for the forthcoming Team Meeting! After what seemed like a lifetime, we saw the bangers again for the final. #104 Fat Daz, lovely lad, pushed the Invader known as #507, round for a bit, #139 got span out by Dan Steele, #282 span, #41 Dan Steele got span, TNT's new boy #111 Jeff Pratt, got picked up by the Saab of #157 Barry Greenhalgh. TNT's #42, Donkey, had his Maxi turned into a mini, Fat Daz ended up a whole suspension short on his wrecked car. #491 John 'Mr Grumpy' Masons Capri looked Crappi, but also we had two injuries. Warton favourite, least that's what he tells me, #514 Paul 'fireball' Woods broke his foot & #282, Paul from Granadaland, has ripped the tendons in his leg, we wish you both speedy recoveries. There was a restart and Dan got clobbered by Team V's Mark Bass, Colin of the Invaders, #767, got removed by Big Al. A TNT car won, well done mate, though I know not who you are, you looked well chuffed with our ladies on the back of the pick up... ERM perhaps I should rephrase that, na lets not! The DD, it was almost midnight by now, least it felt like it, but I tell you, I'm glad I stayed on. #695 Kevin Bradshaw took an almighty hit from #266 Big Al, the rear of Kev's car was destroyed. While other battles went on around the track, Kev beckoned in another car to a head on, #145 Sam Begley was more than willing and hit kev's as hard as I have seen anyone hit. Kev stumbled out of what was left of his car & sat down, but took time to shake Sam's hand.. Big Al was taken out by being a filling in an Invader butty, #767 up the rear and #507 up front. #767 went on to take the win after doing a head on with team-mate #507. I almost forgot to mention that Tug of TMK had a roll and wants a picture of it please! I missed it.
Now that would usually be that, but it ain't! We had visitors, I felt like I was walking along Blackpool Prom, wot with all our Scottish Friends in the pits. That said they did give us plenty of action to watch. The F2's had a good return to Warton, after a good few years. The highlights were:- Heat two: #888 crashed into others and brought out a red flag. Loads of faulse starts in the consolidation, but when it got going it was good. Plenty of wrecks in the Final and waved yellows, after it was done, the tractors were in great demand. The Grand National saw #401 let a car leap over him, which was nice. Winners of the day were #154 - #324 - #670 - #154 - #725. The ministox from up North were interested in more contact than we are used too, though they seemed slightly slower than our lot. Highlight of the day was in heat two, the clean racing was knocked for six by a heavy rain shower. It turned our little track into a skid pan. Infact it was so bad a red flag ended the race. Winners of the day were #653 - #672 - #662
And that was that, a long day, which many thought should have started at noon, but it was great for folks to travel so far to our neck of the woods, it would be fun to have a five on five with our best Ministox drivers & theirs, somthing to think about next time.
