Ministox
After the success of the Jnr Bangers last meeting, the Ministox returned with a vengence and in numbers (over 20). # 301 Jill Hayhurst started her
first ever Ministox race. # 444 Lucy Hyphenated got span out, # 161 Nick ended up pulling up after and engine failure.
# 123 Stephen Hoggarth out and # 131 Davey Jiones out after loosing his front wheel. Good racing in the pack too, with # 3 Saint and # 101 Jimbob hayhurst
having some great racing. Heat two saw a big hard spin for # 140 Samantha Taylor with # 601 James Taylor involved..
# 168 Isaac Parkinson pulled out. # 301 Jill Hayhurst had a heavy spin after contact with a recovering James. This brought
out the yellow flags, but that didnt stop the action as # 928 Steven Doddyman span out # 182 after yellow flags came out.
The race was later redflagged and a result called. Jill was taken to hospital, but seems only had a bruised back, which
is a good thing.. Hope shes back racing soon. Fantastic final, # 161 Nick Hyphenated was span out by # 3.Saint, the
next corner saw # 93 Little Saint going into into Malcolms Gate. # 28 Big Willi ended up with the win after # 206 Robert Dale
crashed out into a pre span # 602 Adam Taylor, wrecking Adams rear suspension. # 152 Micky Jones took to the air in a big way,
landing in the inner kerb in the far corner.. It was a really close race too, with cars swapping positions every half lap.
rthe oddest thing to happen was # 161 Nick Hyphenated loosing his wheel and brake disk on the last lap last corner... A case
for Mulder n Scully methinks! All this happened after a restart following # 300 Jordan Rainford and another car stopping
in dangerous places.
SUPER BANGERS
Utter chaos again in the Supers, very early on with a blockage by the pit entrance gate. # 141 Alan Brown span, then
# 356 Paul Anderson and # 19 Michael Bell got tangled. # 355 Tom Harvey and # 669 Wayne Beswick with # 802 Capt Black
, in his rebuilt Capri, also got in a right mess. Then # 8 Daniel Bell ended up hard backwards into the wall, with # 944
Kavanauh QC parked next to him facing he wall with # 100 Peggy Potts in him. Peggy got free and was repaced by # 183
Shell Creighton who tagged QC's car. 666 ended race with a flat tyre and # 439 avoided all trouble to take the win.
# 355 Tom Harvey and Peggy potts both out at opposite corners in the second heat, # 244 Mad Mart took the win as # 945
took to the infield. # 256 out early on in final, # 19 Michael Bell was t-boned by # 944 Kavanaugh QC, and Peggy also
failed to finish.. Peggy out again, this time in the Grand National, # 141, # 356 and # 99, Hugh Copeland all failed to
finish, Hugh was in the far corner wall, though drove away the race finished.. odd. # 439 Rodder Kellett took the final victory of the Super day.
WARTON STOCK CARS
# 252 Darren Bentham had a mega race, he'd spent many late nights rebuilding his car after it was totalled last meeting.
Darren took the win, and took the Kevin Hall Memorial Sheild in the first race of the day. # 134 Alex Chapman was doing well til he got in a mess, # 210
Peter Burton failed to finish... Heat one finished with # 102 Dean Simpson, way out in front with a pack of cars behind
him battling for second third and forth.. No major accidents though. Heat 2 was clean # 210 out after hitting pit
gate.. A rogue wheel, from Hoss Nelsons car was recovered after the win, which was that man Darren Bentham again! A very
clean final with # 911 taking the win by about half a lap. A clean race and another win for Darren Bentham in the Grand National
# 80 Glen Lord, back for frst time this season, pulled out early on in the race.
BANGERS
# 969 got followed in, by # 119 Chip, then # 501 Basher Kaye in his A60. # 224 was also wrecked by Basher and # 699 did
well to avoided a mullering by # 256 Harty, loads of cars ended up on the infeild.. # 165 in pit bend wall, # 104 Fat Daz was out too.
And to think I had predicted that it was going to be a rodfest!! Heat two and plenty of cars again, # 287 Gigaloo, ened up next to marshal
post in far corner.. Plenty of spins and the like for Fat Daz, # 45 and # 699 with Wilf Speak taking a win, with his odd little Nissain Coupe car tying..
Sirrocco Steve, # 105 was took in by # 573n Hoagy who was, in turn, hit by # 839 from the Hillbillys. # 222 had a fun race
with a flight in the far corner and a big spin by Hoagy later. # 104 Fat Daz, who had been saying how well his car was
going, failed to satrt after his car died on lap one! Wilf sped and took the win. # 41 Dan Steele, in his first and LAST ever
Bluebird, was pasted in the Mechanics race, too much cheering from the crowd in the pit bend. # 105 Sirrocco Steve was out
for action, adding to a wrecking train formed by Dan, Gigaloo and # 222 .. # 222 had jacked up car # 45 and Gigaloo and Steve
had a near head on in the Dd, the Lada estate of # 696 was creamed by Mechanics winner # 573 Hoagy.. # 41 Dan Steele was
also trashed by Hoagy and mates with the Hoagmister getting given the DD win..
