Jnr Bangers
24 started in heat 1. # 415 Sean was span out early, then got t-boned, then got going and drove like a deamon, even punting # 161 Nick Hyphenated out of his way. Sadly Sean pulled up later. # 101 Jimbob was spun out # 103 and 999 pulled out # 285 Thomas Murphy also failed to finish. a Metro ended on the inner wall as did # 301... # 164 Jonathan Williamson fought off an attack from # 138 David Kellett. The win went to # 506 of the Invaders. The second heat saw 23 cars start, # 38 brought out red flags after getting hit a while after pulling out, the driver did eventually get out and a result was called. that said a great deal had already happened with # 206 out in wall # 207 out, with a tyre off, after hitting wall. # 118, # 164, # 162, # 261 , # 710, # 78, # 607 and # 301 all were either wrecked or parked up. Jnr Banger final big pile # 415, # 506, # 999, # 189 out in a big pile up in the far bend, Seans car being totally destroyed. Superb drive by # 138 who drove like a mini Dan Steele, from the back of the grid, punting out (safely) almost a car a lap to take a very impressive win.. I have to say that the Jnr Bangers were very impressive and gave us more action than the bangers in the last meeting.... Well done all of you.

SUPER BANGERS
A new driver in the Supers today, though not a new Warton driver, # 666 Andy Pennington, ex-banger, made his debuet, though only making heat one, he later said, its odd driving the wrong way round and not being able to hit anyone. Another new driver was # 945 who was racing in the Kerrs former Super.. # 100 Peggy Potts and # 14 John Riley were both sitting this meeting out, after being given a one meeting ban, In the first heat there was a bit of a pile up in the pit bend, three cars out, the rest of the race was very clean though. Heat two, two spinners on heat one # 183 Schell Creighton & # 355 Tom Harvey causing a bottleneck on the far corner, no one else got caught up, though # 356 Paul Anderson brought out the yellow flags after ending up facing oncoming traffic in the middle of the start finish straight. Tom span again after restart.. # 439 Rodder Kellett was just pipped by # 244 Martin Makim. There was a graet deal of bumping and boring in heat two, but in the Final, # 802 Capt Black was rolled and his Capri was totally destroyed near Malcolms gate. # 244 Mad Mart, # 274 David christopher and # 19 Michael Bell was also out in this huge smash. The restart and # 99 Hugh Copeland had a spin and # 439 Rodder Kellett went up in a puff .... of smoke, as his car spewed steam into his face.. I didnt stop him winning, with # 668 Peter Wells and # 964 Anthony Whittaker in a very close and exciting finish. Kellett rocked in the Grand National, starting a lap down and taking the win!!! on the last corner of the last lap, nudging # 668 out of his way..

WARTON STOCK CARS
18 started and only 2 didnt finish the first heat clean racing, the biggest damage being # 911 Peter Kaulbarsch, who had a wheel damaged off, though he kept going. Heat two, # 680 James Mallinson span out, # 82 hit pit wall hard and was out, the win was taken by # 251 Gareth O'Bierne. I had rained as the cars came out for final, it was slippy, # 252 span out and was collected by # 246 who just didnt see him in the spray.. Darrens car was totalled, though he managed to walk away from his wreck.. other than that it was just a few spins and slides in the puddles. The Grand National, not so many starters, # 234 took the win nudging # 134 Alex Chapman on the first corner of the last lap in what was a close race.

BANGERS
Ohh the Bangers... Plenty of tin at the track, with a full ten each for TNT and Bad Newz. Best tin was a rare old Volvo Driven by # 511 Scurr senior.. The first race was the ten on ten, but only seven Bad Newz cars made it out onto the track.. The race started and # 350 Danno Peel (BN) had a go at splatting Snapper (TNT) on the far bend corner. A crush develloped at the pit corner with Danno spinning, # 42 Donkey (TNT) hitting him and a huge follow in by # 318 Wilf Speak (BN) who was then jacked himself. The race was stopped as Donkeys car had folded and bent nastilly. After the steering wheel was cut out, Donkey clambered out and waved to the crowd, he only had a broken nose, amazing when you consider the size of his wreck...Everyone was still quite upbeat and shaking hands. The Bad Newz that were not on the track at the bigining of the race, came on the track, after refusing to leave, saying the gate was shut before they had chance to get on the track, the win was given to TNT by default. Then it all went a bit mad.. Danno (BN) picked up the wreck of a TNT car, as request by that cars driver, and piled it into the pit bend. # 62 David Eccles (BN) joined in as did # 691 Snapper (TNT)... The sillyness ended after a huge head on between Dave and # 144 Big Daft Dave (TNT) and a slide halt by Danno (BN). At that point some people lost the plot and it got nasty.. Big Daft Dave ended up with a broken ankle after his head on and tempers were high.. Heat one saw a load of other drivers adding to the mix, Fat Daz # 104 was out after a front offside suspension shattered in a mini crush. Wilf Speak was on a charge attacking Robbo (# 728) then following # 143... He took the win too. It was not long into the second heat before Wilf was wasted in a TNT revenge hit from young Scurr (# 151). The final and a huge wreck for Fat Daz into Malcolms gate after a hit by Hudini in car # 39, he was the hit by # 183 of team Hillbilly. # 880 Ant Kerr had a drive too, in a TNT car, he was hit onto the infield by Gav of Bad Newz then he got his car going again and flew accross the infield to have a near haed on with Gav. Ant got out and stormed off the track Gav followed him and caught up with him and shook his hand. Ant later found out he had broke his wrist and left the track under a barrage of insults by Gav and Bad Newz. The DD was short but sweet # 362 took out Hudini into the wall, then the flag flying capri.. He took the win. I have been maoning about the lack of action in bangers recently, and though I don't condone the actions of A FEW drivers today (or indeed a FEW OFFICIALS) I have to say it was entertaining to see the bangers back on form and I can't wait for the next meeting.
