MINISTOX
Heat one and a spinner time for # 3 Saint, spinning three times in the same part of the track.
To be fair it was extreamly slippy on the track and # 16 Thomas Hall span on the first lap too.
Tate & Lyle leapt onto the infield at pit bend and # 168 pull up in the pit corner. # 333 Ben
Brooks, related to another former Ministox racer, made his debut in a wonderfully painted & Prepped
car. the win, for both heats, went to the very impressive # 138 David Kellett. Heat two after
#232 out after ripping a tyre off. # 333 Ben Brookes and # 602 Adam Taylor out after an incident with
each other. # 999 Darrell Shaw out too.. The final was declared void after a bad crash for # 601
James taylor, who had to be cut out of his car and airlifted to hospital after complaining
of back and neck pains. thankfully when he was checked over at hospital it was found he had
severly bruised his back, but no long term damage. We hope he is back racing soon.
SUPER BANGERS
Loads of cars failed to finish the first heat. # 91 out very early, # 8 & # 163 in a really nice
looking Nissian 200ex, span out toward end of race. # 183 Shell from Hillbillys, and #
880, Mr Kerr, out after smaking into pit exit gate. # 14 went on to victory. The second heat
race stopped after the marshall on the start finish post was hit by a stone, I assume it was
after # 274 David Christopher drove on the infield past the marshall avoiding a incident on
the track. Again I wish him well and hope he is back soon. The restart was very short and DC
lead all the way. The final and 88 went into marshal post on far stright , a pile up including
Peggy Potts and 439, rodder Kellett, was taken out in a separate cuffuffle on the Start Finish
straight. That Riley bloke took the win. There was no Grand Natonal as it was cancelled..
WARTON STOCK CARS
Had a quiet, though slippy heat one, a few minor spins but no other major incident. Alex
Champan, # 134 took the win. Another clean race in heat two, Hoss Nelson out early on and most
of the rest finished. # 911 Peter Kaulbarsch took the glory and trophy. Utter chaos on the
final # 102 Dean Simpson on infield, minus a tyre as did # 133 Anthony Holgate. ERM # 244
Martian Makim lost a tyre # 251 Gareth O'Bierne erhmm lost a tyre (you see a trend here?)
all in one huge smash on the far corner, right in front of me, with a camera with no film.. Grrrr
Still I can't get everything I suppose lol.
BANGERS
It was good to see Yip Yap back out racing today in the bangers, after a long lay off following
the huge follow in last year. The first heat and # 129 Soapy was put into the pit wall and his car bent funny, hurting his foot, so best wishes to him.
Again still slippy, big spin on first lap with most of the field involved, though they all seemed
to get sorted and carry on. Only four finished though, the winner being Mr Dan Steele. Loads more
action in heat two # 170 Gavin Howard (the only BAD NEWZ car racing today) in wall along with
# 511 Steven Scurr . # 839 Hillbilly was creamed sideways into another car. the Bull car out
on pit bend. The final was a rod fest, one of the Hillbilly cars caught fire, but even that
could not ignite intrest in this race. Hoagy had a great deal of intrest in his car, but he drove
very well to fend off all attackers. Only three out for DD and after the TNT car did a great hit
destroying his car, the other two had a huge head on with both cars absolutly trashed.. The
win was Hoagys, but Snapper too was moving til last millisecond.
