Junior Bangers 13 started heat 1, # 415, Sean, did some hard hitting, but was eventually span out. # 401 Jennifer Hayhurst also span out while her brother # 101 Jimbob, waved hands to try and rid his car of steam when a water pipe exploded in his engine. # 185 got taken out on last corner, but # 138 David Kellett took the win. Heat 2, red flag # 283 & # 843 out after a big blockage on the track. The cars were resorted and racing resumed. The blockage reoccurred on the pit bend, but the cars managed to find a way through. only three finish, # 999 bonnet hanging under car and # 70 Lewis (Bad Newz) was almost rolled. # 928 Doddyman and the GIT, almost took me out after coming onto infield while I was trying to check that Lewis was OK. The win was taken by the Invader # 506 as was the final, which featured... a red flag after # 301 Jill Hayhurst hit the wall arkwardly, hurting her shoulder, thankfully it turned out only to be bruised. # 517 Craig from Invaders was also in the wars, driving head on, full pelt, into the wall hurting his ankle and getting bruising from his harness, though he later said it was because his TEAMMATE t-boned him, that the injury occurred. # 70 Lewis was out early too on the pit bend after a spin. Restart, loads of hits, Craig's car was mullered and the hits were hard, # 161 Nick Hyphenated was accused of jacking the little Bad Newz lad, after red flags were waved at the end of the race, both carried on and # 506 was declared the winner.
Stock Cars Heat one was very incident free, 16 started, 15 finished, a few near mountings and a few almost spins, # 234 Jason Lord took the victory. Richard Ball, # 2, took the win in heat 2 a few cars had minor spins, though, # 135 Mick Howarth, spent half the race facing the wrong way at the far corner exit. Final after # 34 rolled and got tangled in rear of # 234, the restart saw a great win for # 251, who took the lead as the green flag was waved and hung on for the rest of the race!
Super Bangers 20 cars started heat 1. # 91 Phil Clegg had a spin and chaos ensued, they all carried on, though # 200 David Rainford got a puncture. # 439 Jay Kellett, in his brand new Capri, with original road suspension still on it, ended the race with a slightly bent car. He got third, with Dc second and # 14 John Riley first. Very short 2nd heat, Peggy Potts broke her suspension, # 25 was trashed in pit bend, loosing a rear wheel. Restart saw jay Kellett stuck in middle of track, he was collected by # 91, who was getting shoved by another car. # 14 John Riley survived the chaos to take the win, as he did in the Final, which saw Shell roll her car and being covered in petrol, she was keen to exit her car ASAP. # 100 Peggy Potts and # 688 out after a spat in start finish line. Jay Kellett took an impressive win in the Grand National.
Metro Bangers heat one was to be a nudge and spin race, but Ste Smith, racing as # 22, jacked up a TNT car, Scruff, making a welcome return, jacked Ste, then a TNT car jacked Ste, ending his days racing. # 880 Ant Kerr took victory with 129 close behind. Heat two and a nice wrecking train, featuring # 42 Donkey and # 62 DE but also a nice roll for # 50, Bad Newz, in his first ever banger race! # 159 was blacked flagged for dooring. # 287 was the victor this time. The consolation and a huge pile up in the far bend, TNT's Chip got hung out on a loose rear axel, and David Eccles jacked a TNT car, Dave was then jacked by another TNT car, who in turn was jacked by another TNT car.. # 115 carried on to take the flag. Race stopped in Metro final saw # 158 rolled on start finish straight. # 287 was totalled after being followed into the pit bend wall, # 156 was declared the winner. The Gits car was thrown in reverse down the start finish straight and was duly jacked by 286. SnOrKs SkUnK, Wrinkly Wrecker was banged onto the infield in the pit straight, all this in the banger mechanics race. # 297 took that victory, though the DD started with a few jackings and wrecking trains, it ended with # 119 Chip and # 297 (both TNT cars) having head ons and Chip being jacked, before # 297 was given the win.
