# 717 Mark Duckett hit outer wall, # 134 Alex Chapman took lead on last lap from # 343 Lee Wrennall in heat one of Stock Cars, all this action despite there only being ten cars on the track!! The second heat saw the Debut of # 2 Richard Ball's new car, built by his own hand, but the race was dominated by Lee Wrennall, who blasted to the front on first lap and stayed there till the end. The final was not as good for Lee, despite an half lap lead early on, he only just managed to keep Alex in third, in a near photo finish for second, all this after getting passed by # 251 Gareth O'Beirne. The Grand National was a tidy race with Lee being the victor.
The Super Bangers stopped early in heat one after Shell Creighton rolled her car. It was rolled back onto its wheels and she, bravely, carried on to finish the race! # 100 Peggy Potts was out after hitting outer wall on pit bend at restart. # 14 John Riley won, but had been blacked flagged for excessive pushing, though he was reinstated after an appeal. # 19 Michael Bell seemed to really lift his tyre going round corners. The field was greatly reduced in heat two as around five cars failed to finish after a few minor bumps. A scrappy final, which saw Peggy in the wars again in a four car pile up, she was the only one that failed to carry on. # 355 Tom Harvey span out John Riley failed to finish and # 338 Chris Turner out very early though after loosing grip and smacking into the outer wall. Peggy ripped a tyre off after a pile up in Grand National, yet another DNF for her which was not her fault in today racing, not that any of her accidents are her fault!.
Depleted numbers in the Bangers, mainly due to a Bad Newz no show, THB no show and only one Invader turning out. Though a new team came out to play, SnOrKs SkUnKs, black & white cars driven by # 104 Fat Daz and # 615 Wrinkly Wrecker, # 106 Ian Roberts, in a Jag, was destroyed into the far corner by # 156 Dave Knight of TNT in the first heat and the two SnOrKs SkUnKs were mullered into the pit wall in heat two. A very light contact final saw Dave Knight take the victory. The banger mechanics was more action packed with plenty of spins for The Hillbillies and Bones team taking on all comers. The DD ended up with # 108 taking on Bones and # 573, in a bashing match/mud fight in a puddle on the infield. The win was won by # 573, despite loosing a tyre and running on his rim all race.
