MINISTOX
As is the norm, MINISTOX were first out to play. The first heat started off quite well with close racing and the like. Then # 11Chris Smith went out after colliding with the outer wall (something he's never done before… oh hang on…) Then there were a few big spins and # 168 Ike Parkinson (IP) was out in the track on gate. The race was red flagged as there were cars dotted around here, there, oh and there too. # 93 Saint II was the winner as the result was given on positions in the previous completed lap. The second heat saw even more bumps and bashes with # 140 Sam Taylor and # 206 Bobby Dale (Bobby Ewing) having a heck of a tussle, showing great skill not to spin out as they were both pushed and nudged by the other, least until Taylor ended up in the side of # 123 Ste Hoggarth and # 711 Nicola Hatcliffe making Hoagy the filling of a girl sandwich.. Lucky blighter! The win went, to # 300 Jordan Rainford (JR Ewing) in his first ever win. By the time they came out for the final it was peeing down and the track was doubling as an Olympic sized swimming pool, needless to say grip was all but none existent. # 23 Dean Hoggarth had a huge aquaplane moment, but masterfully collected himself and the car and carried on, all without even getting within three foot of the wall. Sam Taylor again showed what skill she had gained over the last few meetings with an awesome save after a massive push into the far corner. It was all going so well, until a pile up in Malcolm's gate, which cleared itself and then # 11 Chris (i love the wall) Smith, missed his beloved wall and ploughed into Malcolm's gate bringing out red flags. # 206 Bobby Ewing was the victor and looked very happy. The Grand National saw a very soggy track. The high light being # 168 IP controlling a spin caused by an attacking, and trophy winning, # 245 Sam Makim (son of emenemnem and may get the nickname SnM.. Then again) The win was # 93 Saint II and was he chuffed ? Well I didn't get to ask him !!

STOCK CARS
The STOCK CARS are getting as destructive as Bangers, well maybe not as destructive, but more destructive than they have for a while. Heat one and two major spins, # 3 Saint I was caught and almost rolled by # 230 Ian Maher and toward the end of the race # 777 Jack Lord was spun in the same far corner. # 134 Alex (MB) Chapman won. Heat two was a tamer affair with # 234 Jason Lord getting the win. Heat three and another win by # 134 MB with a wet track. Not to be outdone by other members of his family getting a mention in this report # 80 Glen Lord gets his mention after not getting away at the start of the final, putting his thumbs down and red flagging the race, though not before # 533 John Whittaker was heavily damaged, after anchoring on to avoid Lord, by # 717 Mark Duckett.. Neither driver were too impressed over the situation. # 134 MB was in a scrape with # 234 Jason Lord and later # 91 Phil Clegg, in his very smart looking motor, MB went on to win, though was displeased with the afore mentioned drivers and me after I asked why he still had a gold roof when Mr Tap was our current champion.. ~ 234 Jason Lord was back to winning ways in the Grand National which included a few more bumps and spins.

SUPER BANGERS
SUPER BANGERS were as fun as ever with yet another, albeit smaller, tsunami in the first heat along the start finish straight # 244 Emenemnem and # 4 Jason Preston being the bulk of it and # 57 Steve Hardy, back after a long break, sneaking past unscathed. There was loads of fishtailing, despite the track being dry at the time and we had a shock to see # 964 Ant Whittaker out early in the race. # 274 David Christopher (DC) took the victory in his smart pick up. # 244 Emenemnem won heat two, helped by # 439 Bionic Kellett, # 274 DC and # 964 Ant Whittaker holding each other up. I didn't see this happen, though I later got to see some photos, thanks to Nick Tyrone, # 100 Diane (her off of Emmerdale) Potts got span and rear ended Gary's marshal post in the Final, both Gary & Diane were OK, though the post was not. # 244 Emenemnem was the victor, # 100 Diane Potts was not happy after being taken out by # 141 Alan Brown, and told him so when he pulled up a lap later, this was in the Grand National a race won by # 964 Ant Whittaker.

BANGERS
The first leg of our 10 on 10 with Buxton opened the BANGER race card and it was actually an 11 on 11… and we had fun galore. Plenty of spins and a few firm hits with both teams giving as good as they got and both working well as teams!! We had a wrecking train with # 105 Steve Thingy, # 7 Dohdah and # 291 Thingy Me Bob also a Buxton car rolled at on gate and more than a few spins and jackings. # 514 Paul Woods took the win for Warton. We had a red flag in heat one after a car caught fire after jacking another car near the in gate in heat one, B4 that we had plenty of other action with hits and spins all over the place with a couple of near rolls oh and # 109 Leon Barton took the win. # 51 Wusty won heat two and we had many cars damaged with # 291 Tim Nickson seeming snapped and # 110 reaching for the sky. We even had a pile up in the far corner, though that seemed to clear itself. The final… I needed new undies after almost soiling mine after # 381 Cow Car took off onto the infield and almost landed on my marshal post!! There was a Jacking train with # 611 Dave Stansfield being side on with # 7 in him, he was jacked by # 310 Eno who was in turn jacked by # 110. It was a great DD with plenty of cars still running and, despite the weather, plenty of die hard spectators still watching. We were treated to a race and a half, though my notes were unlegable because of my waterlogged pen & note pad .. # 43 Nicky Bishop, in a well wrecked car, and # 146 Mark Stdd (hmmm can't think of a nickname for this driver) were the last two moving, playing cat & mouse.. Great soggy fun, oh I think # 43 got the win.
