MINISTOX
The Ministox were first out of the pits and there was 19 of them, so only two heats, final and GN. The first heat was quiet enough, with # 131 David Jones and # 300 Jordan Rainford having a spin each. # 444 Lucy Isles-Heardman and # 226 Damian Gladwin failed to finish. There was a gritty battle up front between # 101 James Hayhurst and # 93 Sam Twist, Sam snook the win. A great second saw a win for # 140 Samantha Taylor, who lead from the start and was uncatchable, Sam & James simply ran out of laps. There was also great car control from the next generation of Ministox drivers, # 415, # 164 and # 492 where all superb at getting out of slides and hits. # 113 Ben White had a spin on the last lap, but was OK. # 300 Jordan Rainford went skyward after a punt off # 232 Josh Quinlan in the Final. The race was ended after a huge accident for # 152 Micheal Jones, he was a tad shaken, but walked away. # 93 Sam Twist took the win. The Grand National and action a plenty, # 23 Dean Hoggarth had a spin with # 140 Samantha Taylor, with Dean spending the rest of the race stopped facing the wrong way. Everything was going well until he was rear ended toward the end of he race. # 131 David Jones found himself on the infield and brother Michael decided to give # 232 Josh Quinlan a few nudges after the race finished. # 101 James Hayhurst was the victor.

STOCK CARS
The Stock Cars were very entertaining with two stoppages in heat one. The first was due to # 343 Lee Wrennall and # 134 Alex Chapman getting tangled in the pit bend, and a possible fire in Lee's engine compartment. Next up was # 67 Peter Fawcett and # 112 getting too close in the far bend. # 234 Jason Lord missed seeing the yellow flags and piled into a slowing # 717 Mark Duckett. # 134 Alex Chapman piled into the infield after damage to his front bumper took away his steering/car control. # 342 Dan Wrennall was the one who stayed out of trouble and finished first. Sadly, for Dan, he was not so lucky in heat two, being on the receiving a heavy shunt from # 234 Jason Lord, in this full contact formula. There were other cars having a spin or two, making the far corner difficult to get through. # 35 Jason Yeates took the win in his silver dream machine. An odd final followed with # 24 Leon Jarman and a Wrennall brother pulled up….after many laps # 752 hit him hard. # 35, previous race winner, Jason Yeates, demolished the tyre at the start/finish marshal post and # 717 Mark Duckett pulled onto infield and got bad cramp when getting out of his car. # 347 Hoss Nelson was the victor, and he was a happy bunny. In the Grand National # 680 James Mallinson, had pulled up on start finish straight, and sat there a few laps until # 35 Yeates pilled into him, ending a day for Yeates where he'd gone from hero to zero. # 133 Anthony Holgate took the victory.

SUPER BANGERS
The Super Bangers had been inspired by the Red Arrows doing an aerial display in Morecambe. First to fly was # 644 David Windsor, who was launched in the pit corner exit, and in slo-mo, about six foot in the air, landing awkwardly and rolling. The restart saw # 100 Ann Potts have a go, this time in the far bend and in the middle of the pack, she got about two foot in the air, and kept going. # 439 Jay Kellett avoided all the, many other, incidents to take the win. Heat two and it was # 355 Tom Harvey's time for 'big air', again it was in the far corner and Tom clipped the inner kerb and had a lovery dramatic roll into the middle of the corner. The restart was cleaner, # 100 Ann Potts was unceremoniously redirected into the infield and there were a few other knocks and bumps and # 244 Martin Makim happily took the win. Not to be outdone in the flying stakes, # 53 Gayboy Biggles decided to have his moment in the entrance to the pit corner, he was mid-pack, and launched himself, what looked like, end on end toward Malcolm's gate. # 644 David Windsor had been selected as Gayboy's launch ramp, and showed a great deal of damage himself. (I would have though the Mad Cow car would have been a better choice.) The restart was a quieter affair, though the top three were as close as you could wish for. That Martin Makim come out on top. The Grand National saw no flying practice and the highlight was # 351 Tut Knowles loosing a wheel, in a random sort of way. # 439 Jay Kellett was the victor and I can tell you none of our budding pilots were hurt at this meeting.

BANGERS
The Bangers, low in numbers and only nudge and spin for the two heats. Highlight of the first heat was # 41 Dan Steele creaming # 215 Joycey (his so called buddy) and # 149 Paul Gore won, Paul won heat two too and Dan bent his cars wing hitting Big Al and Dan span out many others. The Final was a little more exciting with # 515 getting his passenger side tore off his car, Dan launching Big Al onto the infield and attacking # 611 Dave Stansfield, Dave survived for over a lap, in a great drive, before finally getting span out, Dave continued and got a deserved second behind that Dan guy. Dan was out in the DD (no this is not a Dan ass licking report) and was a butty filling, helped by # 116, then he had an head on with Al, chased Dave all over the place and, I think, had a fun time. He took the win, though some of the crowd pointed out he had stopped for a while after flooding his engine.
