It twere an hot un.... Im still glowing!!!
Over the past few weeks I have had folks moaning that my reports have become stale and boring... I must admit I am not a fan and they have become too safe recently too... So sod it, if you get insulted take it as a compliment! Here goes..

MINISTOX
Due to high numbers of Ministox, they were split into three heats, with each car racing in two of them. Heat one and # 928 Doddyman was out after a shove from a Jones lad, # 152 Mike Jones was put out, getting himself beached on the infield. It was not going to be # 101 Jimbob Hayhurst's day today, as he failed to finish this heat. That was not the case for # 206 Despite # 492 Dan Hurst (currently driving to destruction) ending up with a still car on the racing line, causing waved yellows. Dale blasted to his second victory of the day. It was closer behind him though with # 232 Stunty and # 93 Saintly for second and third, the Saintly one got ahead.
The best race for current champion was the third heat, Jimbob actually won it!. There was plenty of action lower down the order, with a few deft maneuvers from the younger drivers, making this heat one of the most fun to watch. # 23 Dean Hoggarth found a space saving way of parking his ministox, at a 45 degree angle on the inner wall banking.
The final saw a bit of carnage, and more red flags than at a cold war may day rally in da Moscow, well here were only actually two to be honest the first for # 17 Jamie McCann, who had an incident in the pit corner and the second for a big smash which took out both # 415 Sean Haggas and # 226 Damon Thrill, with both cars loosing wheels (well one each). The red flags were not alone as toward the end of the race # 140 Sam Taylor was shown the black flag for taking out the then current race leader, # 206 Dale. # 131 Dave Jones went on to take the win, with that Saintly driver not that far behind him.
Close racing was in great order for the Grand National, with the top 4 cars only a few seconds apart.. there were a few nudges and spins, but over all it was a clean race, with # 206 Bobby Dale getting another win.

SUPER BANGERS
You could be forgiven thinking that the kids were driving the Supers, what with all the dummy spitting going on at the moment. # 555 Peter Wells, with a huge new fin on the rear of his Scooby, was span in the first heat, and # 439 Jay Kellett had a bad race too, as he couldn't find a way through to the lead. In fact the sixth place he got in heat one was the only points he managed to get today. # 244 Mad Mart Makim (emenemnem), had a clean sweep getting first in the heats and final and fighting up third in the Grand National, all very impressive, I doubt anyone will be able to top his points tally this year now. Other highlights of the day included # 228 Tom Stable and # 99 Huge Copland having an accident in heat two, causing a mini blockage of the far corner as more cars piled in. In the final Kellett (Jay) got a black flag after helping # 555 Wells into the far corner wall, both cars looked like they may take off as they collided. # 555 Wells got span in the pit corner in the Grand National, it was # 264 Roland Kelsall who was the rat that did him. I gotta finish this report now on the Supers as I have to find some dummies.

WARTON STOCK CARS
The first heat saw an early shower for # 680 James Mallinson, # 672 Steven Fawcett (who seems to flow hot n cold) and # 911 Peter Kaulbarsch (who seems to have the biggest trailer known to Warton), all three out in the pit bend, though not all in the same accident. # 34 Leon Jarman retired in the far corner and # 481 Mick Kemp (no relation to Martin - least I think not) went on to take a memorable victory..
Great racing in heat two between # 347 The Hoss and # 135 Mick Howarth, it was nip and tuck all the race, with both avoiding two corner incidents, both of which dragged out the yellow flags. The Hoss was pipped at the end with Howarth taking the spoils.
It was a close final too, with the ride on the pace car going to # 248 Billy Smith (I know it's not him driving, it's a joke regarding his huge name on the roof fin which I always failed to see, which is now covered up, get it now ?). # 133 Anthony Hallgate was a tad miffed though, it seems his diff got broken in this race.
I think Hallgate would have been suicidal if his car got the damage sustained by # 91 Phil Clegg, Clegg got in a tangle full pelt down the pit straight, in the grand National, rolling his car, smashing into Gary pit post, landing on his side getting hit by another car and ending up on his roof. Phil was OK, just a tad shaken up, not stirred, it was looking far worse for his car, which looked like the school bully had stamped on it with his bovver boots and prob kicked Phil a few times too. This overshadowed The Hoss and # 24 Richard Harris accident. The restart was, not surprisingly, tame and # 481 Mick Kemp took his first victory of the day (don't e-mail telling me he won the first heat.. I know that it's a joke you see. I said his first heat victory was memorable, and forgetting it two races on means it may not have been..)-I hate it when I have to explain myself ;)

BANGERS
Bangers were low on numbers as most 'team' drivers were at Belle Vue, that said we had two long lost teams have a presence, Bad Newz (sorely missed) were back with Benny driving and TMK were back with Paul Pennington having a go, both cars were wasted during the day. Benny (# 117) was first to get mullered in heat one, his Bluebird (pre-raced) was no match for the Jag of Chip (# 119) and the pit wall. Benny's car crushed and folded into the size of a walnut, Benny managed to walk away though. That was the main action, though plenty of other cars were unable to restart and that Steele bloke stole a win.
# 41 Dan Steele span out # 149 Paul Duck, who later span and beached himself, in a lack luster second heat. # 655 Paul Pennington was also removed from the race and Eno, who later won the Terminator too at Belle Vue, in the same car, took the victory.
Action a plenty in the final, instant too as Eno hit and span out the Duck, and while the Duck tried to recover, he got involved with # 174 Megot and the Hillbilly car (with Big Balls written on bonnet, if you have ever seen him in the shower you will know why.. Its cause of the huge footballs painted on the tiles..). Mr. Hillbilly almost rolled onto his side, hitting the pit wall at speed stopped him, and I mean stopped him (rumors his new nickname was Squashed Balls were not confirmed). # 665 Paul Pennington pulled up behind the dead Volvo and was shortly creamed by Steele. Dan carried on and took third, behind # 297 Tim Nickson and # 156 Dave Knight. Eno had been leading, but pulled out with a misfire.
Only two cars remained for the DD and it took a while to get them both running at the same time. The 'race' was short and the winner was # 611 Dave Stansfield, who knocked seven bells of paintwork out of # 114 Gravedigger.

And that was, as they say, that! Oh I almost forgot to mention that Ministox car # 415 (Sean Haggas) and Stock Car # 343 Lee Wrennall both lost wheels while on the formation lap to the grid. Someone must tell these young lads to check their nuts regularly, as failure to do so may result in a nasty accident. I fank you.
