MINISTOX
Heat one and action in the first corner, with collisions for # 165 Daniel Davies, # 140 Samantha Taylor, # 444 Lucy
Hyphenated, in Nicks old car - rumor has it that Nick has quit Ministox - and # 344 Hayley Parkinson. This brought out a red flag and a restart. All was going well, close clean
racing until another stoppage after a smash in the far corner. That led to a five lap sprint to the finish, where #
131 Davey Jones crossed the line first. Davey was a winner again in heat two, this followed a great scrap between
himself and # 232 Stuntman, Stunty was taken out on the last corner after getting tangled up with back markers.
There was also another race stoppage, this time for # 168 Ike Parkinson hurt after a spin onto the infield. # 28
Big Willi hit the wall hard and failed to continue. More red flags waved in the final, this time after # 93
Little Saint hit the exit gate so hard, he put a hole in it, he was OK just winded. There was plenty of action elsewhere,
but this time Stunty didn't trip over back markers and went on to take the win. It was back to normal in the Grand
National, as Jones yet again took the flag. The racing was clean with only # 123 Stephen Hoggarth suffering damage, a
tyre was shredded.
SUPER BANGERS
The first heat ended with a huge pile up in the far corner, completely blocking the track. Earlier
# 355 Tom Harvey got mullered into the pit corner wall by # 53 Gayboy. As Harveys car lay stricken across the track,
it was clipped, and launched into the air by # 228 Tom Stable. # 244 Mad Mart took the win, the first of three today
, only loosing out in the Final to # 439 Jay Kellett. # 53 Cuthbert managed to flip his car onto his roof, and slid on
it for a good few yards in heat two, showing his under carrage to the world. The racing was extremely close all day today with the final seeing action which
included # 644 David Windsor loosing a wheel after a hard hit into the far corner wall. # 56 had a Grand National he
would sooner forget, going full tilt into the wall after a blow out on his front drivers side.
WARTON STOCK CARS
Three different winners in the Stock Cars, # 252 Darren Bentham won both heats, the first being stopped for a while
after # 80 Glen Lord lost a tyre, and suspension, in a clash. The heat was again stopped after # 533 John Whittaker
span and ended up on the racing line and, at the other end of the track # 134 Alex Chapman was knocked hard into the
outer wall. The second heat was red flagged after # 91 Phil Clegg and # 347 Hoss Nelson got in a tangle, both continued,
but Clegg lost control, in what looked like a suspension failure, this caused a massive pile up. The Final won by # 134
Alex Chapman was a tamer affair, three cars pulled up early and that was about that. The Grand National saw the return
of carnage with a pile up on the first corner, taking # 533 Whittaker and # 135 Mick Howarth out of the running. # 911
Peter Kaulbarsch survived the action to take a good win.
2LTR BANGERS
Day driver # 7 Matty, had a great day, taking both Banger heats. # 613 Tony Booth had a heavy shunt into the pit wall,
he got a few extra hits, causing the yellow flags to again make an appearance. # 520 Rhys Martin, a new Invader, got
splattered in the restart and # 119 Chip became airborne as he came to grief on the infield. # 520 Martin had a torrid
time in heat two too, again ending up in the wall. # 696 Karl Bradshaw, in a Ford van, lasted most of the race
unscathed, until the second to last lap, and he was neatly placed into the outer wall. The Final and # 613 Booth took
out # 105 Stephen Johnston and another car, but sadly Booth came out of it the worst. # 156 Dave Knight, nick named
Full Bore went full speed into the pit wall, snapping his Capri. At the front it was a close thing, with # 340 Jonathan
Atkinson getting ahead on the second to last lap. All drivers and cars survived a big pile up in the pit corner in the
Mechanics, Allan Woods had took charge of the # 520 Invader car, but ended up beached early on, after being launched in
the air onto the infield, to be fair the rear wheels were pointing in separate directions. The Demo Derby ended in
controversy after Mr Vain had done a near head on with Jonathan Atkinson. But the last car moving, just, was # 695
Kevin Bradshaw. Mr Vain was given the win on the day..
