  • Championship Day is looming, plenty of trophies for Members, who have raced 3 times this season, to race for.. Therefore plenty of action all around, one not to miss.

  • Please return ANY trophies you have to Ann on Sunday.

  • Annoyingly H&S issues mean that we cannot allow any children, under the age of ten, on or in cars on the parade lap, sorry. Things are changing very quickly and not always for the good :( BUT NEVER FEAR .. We will hold a parade after the car parade for anyone who wants to WALK around the track, kids will be welcome, aslong as there is an adult with their group.

  • My video camera is refusing to upload videos as yet, following its clobbering with, I assume, a caravan last time out.

  • As is the norm on championship day, there is no practice laps, this is to allow time for the parade lap.

  • Absent from 27/08/08 committee meeting Norman Fryer & Gerald Hoggarth.

  • Would any banger drivers be interested in being in a BBC Radio Lancashire Banger Team for the 2LTR Team Meeting ??

  • Would all teams book in with me NOW for Team Meeting as it WILL NOT GO AHEAD if there are not enough cars booked in, you have been warned!!!!

DATE: 20-08-08

  • The points n results will be not be up, this is due to a technical difficulty on the PC that has the info. Evertything has been sent and put in the program for Sunday though.

  • A reminder to Banger drivers, the 24th August is an UNLIMITED meeting. Anything goes, apart from owt smaller than a Mondeo. NOTE: Wire mesh must cover the ENTIRE WINDOW SCREEN AREA if your racing with a Caravan on the day. Also caravans must be chained as well as ball jointed to cars!

  • Talkin of caravans there is a FREE one that Kevin Power has ring him on 07950 775408 NOW. Its in Liverpool.

  • If you have a caravan (under 15foot) that you would like to get rid of for free, and that you can bring to the track on Sunday, then feel free to bring it, I know of at least two drivers who are keen to have a go but havent got/or been let down with a caravan.

  • BBC Radio Lancashire will be with us on the 24th August, doing a few LIVE Outside Broadcast from the track, least thats the plan! CLICK HERE FOR THEIR SITE.

  • New T-shirts will be in Track Shop on Sunday. Teenager sizes, ltd numbers £8 each.
Lots of T-shirts inc. these new design pink n blue ones!

  • CARAVAN RACE - 24th August - £25 for each caravan to race and another for the best or most amusing paint job on the caravans.

  • Guess who was on the radio today (1st August) me being interviewed on BBC Radio Lancashire at 5pm. It was to publise the Robin/HESP & F2 meeting. I waffled on like a loon about this n that, it was only a few minutes, but I got the sat nav addy in, prices and the other classes racing.. Thankfully I ain't heard it back but hey any publicity is erm publicity.. Thanks to Paul for thinking about us and sorting it out.. Yer a star mate!

  • On Sunday the presenter Paul O'Gorman is coming to the track and may want to interview a few of the drivers, or spectators, this interviews will be played out on Monday on the same station as above.

  • The sponsor of the HESP, is Jimmy White Fencing Manufacturer is donating £25 to the Winner of the Banger DD. This makes the winner of the banger DD £50 richer. Jimmy will also donate a crate of beer to the winner of the banger races throughout the day!! He has choosen the bangers because he races them, after a long long time of not doing. Jimmy can be found at most races helping out at Malcolm's Gate!

  • The next meeting is the HESP, one not to miss, Robins, bangers, usual support and up to 50 F2s, so a very full days racing!

  • After the committee meeting it was decided to have Snr Minis and Supers racing but no Grand Nationals for Ministox or Stockkers. As well as being The HESP, the F2s mean that there will STILL be 26 races with three of them being Robins!!! I cannot wait!!

  • All Robins that race will get £25 apperance money.
Theres also £25 each for the normal bangers who are choosen for:
    Best paint Job
    Best Tin
    Biggest Wreck

Loads of Robins are coming but these are the ones I have names for so far!

    • Some really sad news. Former Super Banger driver 356 Paul Anderson has been tragically killed in a car crash while towing a caravan in Scotland last week. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends, even more so as his 4 year old granddaughter Samantha Jane Carr was also killed in the accident. Our best wishes also go to the others who were injured. Indeed it is a tragic chain of events that no words could possibly heal the hurt and grief.

    • Last Sunday saw a good days clean racing, well apart from the spats between # 114 Charlotte Riley & # 54 Tom Adcroft in the Ministox. Oh and best wishes to # 39 Reece Parker, who had a splended roll at my feet and gave a graphic interview afterwards.. Top lad! The Stockkers were on form again with plenty of great passes and close racing, the Supers & Snr. Minis also had some good eventfull racing.

    • We had 35 bangers racing on Sunday.... 35 for a domestic, maybe we should have more 1400cc races next year, the racing was hard but fair, to a point, and the wrecks were scattered around the track all day. 15 cars left for the Dash4cash & DD too.. All in all a top day.

        DATE: 14-07-08

        • Right the committee had a meeting last week....I have waited til now to post stuff about it for obvious reasons.

        • Check your membership card is signed and has a photo in it..

        • Loads of bangers last time out, 25 adults and 22 junior bangers, which is great to see.

        • TEAM MEETING -- Book in now, up to 4 cars at £10 each. Over £2000 prize fund. See program for booking in form or e-mail me (link above here)

        • Stock Car weight rule was upheld.

        • Plenty of Robin interest for the HESP (3rd August), please contact me if your bringing a lil pig to race and I will get a booking in list up.

        • Book in if you have a caravan and or an Unlimited Banger for the 24th August meeting.

        • There are adverts going in three local papers (up North) so let me know when you see em and what you think.

        DATE: 06-07-08

        • Great days racing, odd weather and fun times in the pits.. Yup we had it all today, what with a meeting int Pits before racing, all weather you could think of (Cept snow) and racing that was once again back on form, the Micro Bangers meeting was a great success with plenty of bangers out to play, some rare tin too. The Junior Bangers were spectacular all day though there was an incident late on that was not too good. Stocks did well with all the wet n oil around, as did the Supers & Snr Minis and the Ministox, were yet again, great to watch.. So pat yourselves on your backs for a good natured days racing. Can't wait til next time. Photos up soon with the videos from tomorrow onwards, I think, yes I got video & photos of the banger roll.

        • Graham Bentham, the newspoaper clips of which I wrote in the program, are in the HISTORY part of the site, click on button then on the old paper adverts near bottom of page.

        • Oh and get well soon to me, yes I fell flat on my face grazing my hands and badly grazing my knee, but before ya all start saying I was drunk etc, I have found out that my shoes are to blame, the sole has come away and i tripped over it. I think I caught the 'incident' on my own video camera... which at a later date I will post on here.. Well its only fair, I take the wee wee outa you lot all the time...

    • Well how windy was today? I'd like to Thank S for keeping the rain away though!

    • That said......It was an interesting days racing with new winners # 21 Steve Crane, # 700 Mrs Thomas and the like. We had a surprise visit from The Gravediggers & Bong Gang, both banger teams out to finish off there Hedno Team Meeting cars, which livened things up a bit. The Stockkers had only minor damage and the Snr Minis & Supers had resonable racing too, so all in all not a bad day, an early finished was great too... Well done to the spectators who turned up on what was forecast to be a really bad day weather wise... Photos up late tonight and vids up ASAP.

    • Points n Results up now!!!!

    DATE: 16-06-08

    • IMPORTANT NEWS!!! The 10on10 with Buxton has been Cancelled. This is due to them not being able to muster up a team so its bangers as normal racing for points.

    • There is going to be a ladies race on Sunday too.

    • Warton Stock Car Club was 'on the road' this weekend, at Scorton Vintage & Country Fayre on Saturday & Sunday and Williamson Park in Lancaster on Sunday also. this was to promote the club and get some more folks interested enough to actually come and watch and who knows even race!

    • I spent the day at Scorton on Saturday & would like to thank ALL the members & drivers who supported the Club. It was grand day out.. more toast Gromit?

    • Heres a video of Big Pete.. Calm down gurls..

Theres some photos from the weekend here.

    • Sunday was spent at Williamson Park in Lancaster for a community day in the park. Again a good day, I heard it was also manic at Scorton too...

      DATE: 08-06-08

      • What a red hot day, OK so it was long, very very long, made Andrex look short, but what a day..

      • There was no ladies racing today, but the female of the species took over the Ministox, # 113 Charlotte Riley & # 419 Leanne Kellett were on top form, but the day was # 104 Jayne Barton, who at the age of 10 & a bit WON Heat Two AND THE FINAL.... Top stuff..

      • The bangers had a load of Invaders up to play, two ov em rolled and there was action & incidents all day.

      • The Stocks, Supers & Senior Minis were great to watch too. Stocks saw some great racing with loads of incidents and smashes galore, Snrs & Supers, tho light in numbers (8 each) still provided some great action.

      • Action also featured heavily with the F2's too, on the track we had thrills & spills, off it we had a super enthusiastic flag waver on my podium, when he was at full speed it sounded like I was on a sail boat in a gale!!

      • All photos & videos up now, inc a Nut Behind The Wheel featuring a young star and a video featuring a roll by # 514 Paul Woods after which he carried on racing, didnt even stop, I was very impressed!!

    DATE: 25-05-08

    • So that was ....

      WARton of the Roses 08

    • What a day... I have no words to say how good today was.... Best wishes to the two who got injured, the Junior Stinkbridge lad and Jacko Barton, son of todays sponsor, who was due to race in the 2LTR Bangers, hurt his arm spannering for his brother.. Irony can be ironic at times..

    • A big thanks you to everyone involved in all the races on Sunday, you did the club proud.. Also I was moved to tears when I was presented with a Retards T-Shirt, which I wore with pride all day... ERM even to the offy when I got home and I could'nt figure out why I was getting so many odd looks, tho my face was blacker than Michael Jacksonsd.. and I had this bright yellow RETARD T-shirt on.. Oh well nerr mind. Loads of photos (over 370) and loads n loads of new angled videos too to follow, photos getting sorted now, maybe a video in a while... Wartononline where photos & videos are free LoL

      • Anyway heres what I posted when it all went very Pete Tong.

      • LADIES RACES !! After the success of the last two meetings, its been decided to add some more ladies races to the race meetings in the future, they are :
        22nd June
        7th Sept
        5th Oct

      • JUNIOR BANGERS !! Following the high turnout of NON Ministox drivers at WOR, its been decided to add a Jnr Banger meeting on 21st Sept, MINISTOX will still race on this day too.

      • Junior Bangers are reminded that the rules are for nudge & spin, black flags and loading up will occur on rule breakers, the future of Jnr Bangers may also be under threat if rules are repeatedly broken.. Its in your hands.

      • BANGERS - Some of you take loadsa care on presenting a car that might last only a few laps, others don't ;) We will try out a £20 prize for the best presented car at the next meeting. Also £20 for winner of the Demo Derby.

      • METRO MEETING - 6th July, will be open to Novas, Micras, Corsas and Fiestas , though there will be a seperate Metro heat if enough turn up on the day.

      WARton of the Roses 08

    • Some numpty is spreading rumors that some classes are not racing on Sunday, This is not true.. We are racing Bangers, Junior Bangers, Ministox, Stock Cars, Snr Minis, Supers and a Ladies race too !!! So get yer cars on their trailors and lets go racing!

    • # 512 Allan Woods, Invader banger driver, is recovering after being taken really ill after a visit to the dentist. Thankfully he seems on the better side and all of us from WSCC wish him the best for a full and speed recovery..

    • I have now gotten a second pants pc, it cant connect to interweb, but it can edit videos, so with a memory stick, the videos are now slowly appearing. The Metal Mania ones are up already and the Easter ones will be next, I will see if I can get em all up before Sundays bash!!

    • Talking of bash, Gerald spoke to me last night and told me about a do he went too, it was Steve Bingleys Stag Night, all very civil until the gang were stopped by the Police on their way to a bus stop... All I can say is I have no idea why the rozzers would want to stop these chaps.. No wheely I have no idea. I think that they were asked where they were going and after doubting where they had been the cops asked 'no where have you wheely bin' Yer gotta larf.

    • I have give the site a lil tidy up, so its less Matrixy and more family welcoming.. Oh I have shifted some videos to the AVE A GIGGLE section too. More being added often

    • Thanks to Sarah Thomas who sent me this family snap of the wedding, congrats Ann and Steve
      awww loverly

    • WANNA RACE IN WARTON OF THE ROSES ?? THEN BOOK IN NOW.... Click logo for more details.

      WARton of the Roses 08

    • Note that after the Committe Meeting on Thursday night it was decided that Ministox will race for points as we have room for them. There were a few main reasons for this, which included a five week braek if we didnt run them, we had space as there are no Unlimited Bangers racing WOR, only three drivers in Junior Bangers actually raced Ministox... all of which gave a pretty strong raeson to run them, that and the fact they have been really entertaining all season so far. So let drivers know who don't have access to the internet and we will see you on the 25th.

    • Theres a track day on 18th May, sorting the race loop and painting the cabins etc. 10AM onwards, no doubt only the regular few will turn up, then again we may be surprised.

    • 14th & 15th June sees our cars visiting the Scorton Vintage Show at Scorton, so pop along and say hello!!

    • Points & Results updated below here!

    • Any stuff you want going in the program (Garage Corner etc) MUST NOW COME TO ME.. If I don't see it it won't get printed.

    • Reaper, The Inbetweeners top TV programmes... Watch em!

    • WANNA RACE IN WARTON OF THE ROSES ?? THEN BOOK IN NOW.... Click logo for more details.

      WARton of the Roses 08

    • What can you say about today? I thort it was amzin! Awesome racing all day in all classes .... YES ALL CLASSES.

    • Bangers were a lil more tamer than normal, that said there was some good spins and an awesome DD. Dan was on form, though his car let him down at the end of the day. The V Team were as dominant as normal and even Beckerton (Ant) got a win. We had a roll, though not at my end of the track, and we had a Ladies Race!! Yes The Ladies of Warton are back in their (or the partners) cars and burning rubber on the track! Its all good stuff.

    • The F2s also made an apperance after many years of not turning a wheel at our lil track and I have to say I was impressed! Yes Mr I Hate Ftoos loved them. They were fast frentic and had loads of incidents, I can't wait til there next visit. It was also good to see Lee Wrennall and Ste Smith, both ex Warton Champions, up in the Blue Roofs. But It was even better to see Dan Wrennall up and about after his nasty F2 crash a few weeks back.

    • The Supers and Snr Minis were also playing today, and what fun we had, a massive roll for the Snr Mini Cow Car, and no it must have been a dream/nightmare... Or have I stood near someone with funny ciggis.. Or had a bang on my head.. Or getting senile, or altzimers... I dunno but I could have sworn that the Team Retard car, powered by Fairy dust & driven by Petrol (did I get that the right way round?) Won an Heat.. Won a blinkin race... Did a lap of honor, no I MUST BE MISTAKEN... Ohhh help me muther!

    • One of the highlights of the day for me, though, was Ministox, This class is driven by Gurls n Boyz aged 10-16 and my word did they put on a show. Young Janye is a born champion, remember these words, but our current champion contendersw put on an awesome show, Squeaky, Tom Adcroft and Jordan, Charlotte and the rest of them put the adults to shame with their dicing, passing repassing, nudges and the like, you are all stars... Keep it up n keep it safe!

    • The rubbish was again left at the end of the day, though I would like to thank the unknown family who tidied up their area before leaving, the lady had a red jacket on and they were sitting on the banking just under the edge of the concreted area opposite my podium. There were loadsda purple fruit shot bottles left scattered around near Malcolms Gate AGAIN. This is what will cost the club thousands. Most other areas were better, thank you for than, though we need to keep on top of it and watch others aswell as your own its all our responsability so lets all take some! Thank you.

    • Any stuff you want going in the program (Garage Corner etc) MUST NOW COME TO ME.. If I don't see it it won't get printed.

    DATE: 21-04-08

    • BOOK IN NOW, or it goes!

      WARton of the Roses 08

    • Sunday was a tricky day for all drivers in all classes, what with the changeable weather! The bangers were around 17 in number, but the wrecking and racing was top notch, so well done guys. The Ministox are getting better and better, theres close racing throughout the field and some great action too. The Supers had well over ten cars, whoohoop inc the Team Retatrds one, which did better than I, and prob TR, thought it would!. The Snr Minis were still under ten in number, but had some good action every so often. The Stockkers were gaining in numbers, and incidents were plentiful, so all in all great days racing.

    • Get well messages to Leanne Kellett (cut out of her Ministox), The Marshal (Gary) who's podium was hit by a banger, but was OK and the Stock Car driver winded badly in the Grand National...

    • In the pits it was slightly more fraught as we weighed all the Minis and some Stockers, some were a little underweight, some hugely.. So be warned the scales will return, without warning, those who fail to get their weight up WILL NOT RACE!

    • The program had my lengthy report completely missing, despite being proof read with it in (so Im told anyhow). I am annoyed on two fronts...
1: It had a form to book in for WARton of The Roses, which is in two meetings time, theres no where near enough drivers booked in for it to go ahead and this was a last ditch attempt to stop it being cancelled.
2: The rubbish was highlighted and is the most serious threat at the moment for the club to be closed down, I went round after todays meeting and though it was much tidyer, there were still sections where it was way below par. IF YOU CANNOT HELP BUT PUT YOUR CRAP ON THE FLOOR, PLEASE STOP COMING TO WARTON. YOU ARE GOING TO SPOIL IT FOR EVERYONE ELSE. Thanks to Sam & Martin Makim who picked up quite a bit of OTHER PEOPLES RUBBISH before leaving the track today.

Anyway heres the bit that didnt go into the program....

Hello and welcome to Warton Stock Car Club on this loverly Sunday. Last Sunday saw Team Retards, the Makim family and Charlotte Riley and her family with four committee members trying to stop the club getting into more trouble about the rubbish after a race meeting. BE ADVISED IF WE FIND OUT WHO THE MAIN CULPRITS ARE WE WILL TAKE ACTION. We are very close to being fined for litter violations, this could close the club as it won’t be fifty quid, but thousands of pounds, seeing as we live in a ‘greener’ world with zero tolerance regarding pollution and the like.  So….

DO NOT THROW ANY RUBBISH ON THE FLOOR.

DO USE THE NEW BINS PROVIDED.

CHECK THE AREA YOUR IN IS CLEAN AND TIDY BEFORE YOU LEAVE.

BEST STILL RECYCLE A CARRIER BAG AND TAKE YOUR RUBBISH HOME.

Its easy to sort out if we all do a little bit.  This issue has been goin on for years, but things are coming to a head, so act now and save the club from financial ruin.

What disturbed me the most was the amount of soiled nappies found all over the track on Sunday.

They were disgusting and stunk to high hell. So if you have to bring a nappy wearing child, please remember this is not a tip, it’s a bird sanctuary… So either put them in the silver bins or in a nappy sac and take em home. Thank you.

Anyway racing will be good today as in the Supers we will have a new car. It’s a Team retards car, don’t larf.. You can snigger.. It may be painted up fully with the TR logo on, or may be a work in progress, anyway good luck guys and lets see if you can put your race shoes were your mouth is, or summot like that anyaways.

      • A BIG THANKS FOR ALL WHO CAME TO HELPLAST SUNDAY AND PICK UP RUBBISH. Team Retards were there inforce as well as three drivers, namely the Makims (Lil Gangsta and Emenemenem) and Charlotte Riley, all of whom brought more helpers. Loads of rubbish was collected from cans and bottles, to tyres and bits of cars to DISGUSTING USED NAPPIES!! If you have a baby then either DO NOT bring it to the track or at least take home the nappies or put them in the bin. It makes me worry for the baby if its parents are so irrisponsable as to leave these items on the flooor or in the top of oil barrels. WE DO NOT NEED FOLKS LIKE YOU COMING TO OUR TRACK, you are the greatest threat, this is not a joke, we could face a multi thousand pound fine if we do not control our litter problem. The only place you can leave rubbish on race day is in the bins with lids on, or better still take it home. Remember that the track is sited on a bird reserve and is used regularly by locals walking their dogs. SHOW SOME RESPECT.

      • THERE IS A ZERO TOLLERANCE from councils at the moment about loads of stuff, we have to be very carefull we don't mess it up for us all.

      • Some grass tracks hold your licence til the end of racing and only give it back after your area in the pits has been checked for tidyness.... The committee are considering this option if the situation does not improve IMMEDATLEY.

      • Oh and we dont hold track days for fun, we hold them so you can race your cars, so maybe it would be nice nextime to see more drivers show some support even if its only an hour or so as you have to get back for your 'engine rebuild'... who knows by the time its rebuilt the track might have gone???

      • I CANNOT STRESS HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS AND HOW SERIOUS REPECUSIONS COULD BE FOR THE CLUB, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

      • Oh and we need a comentator for Sunday, so if or someone you know is any good contact Graham ASAP.

        DATE: 06-04-08

        • Another good days racing today, and once again the weather held off, OK it was cold, but when I got home I was told it had been hailing, snowing and blowing a gale, so thanks again Shirley :)

        • The racing was frentic, it was great to see a good few BAD NEWZ back at W.S.C.C. tho I was a lil disapointed with Gav Howards behavior! When ever he races we usually get an excuse to ban him, not today, he was a good boy.. Not so a couple of Ministox drivers, who rightly got loaded up after a scrap in the pits.

        • On the track there was loadsa Ministox doing their usual thing, some close action as always and a new lil driver, yet another Barton racer, took it easy at first, got stuck in by the final and SHE likes to repair her car and has just turned 10. Theres racing blood going thro the familes genes, or maybe its petrol !! Anyway all the best # 104 Jayne Barton. A smash in the Grand National saw too drivers hurt, one was most concerned about his erem spuds getting squished, but he thats racing mate, why do you like Lewis Hamleton has such an high pitched voice. # 300 Jordan Rainford was back after serving his ban and went back into the winning groove, battling and scrapping like he's never been away. Racer of the day was # 55 Dan Whittingham, whos car was on top form, winning a heat and the Final. Squeaky, # 464 seemed to be as fast as last time, but now as a red roof had to pass more cars to get into the points.. Lifes tuff at the top.

        • The Stockkers were fun too, even spinning while coming out of the pits. No major smashes, but some great racing action non the less. I was surprised to see # 24 Richard Harris win the final, tho starting the Grand National a lap down was more his style (only joking mate WELL DONE).
        • The Snr Minis increased in numbers, as promised, some good racing between # 44 Paul Gannon and # 492 Geordie boy. Paul however didnt have a good day overall. Stopping a lap early with spark trouble while comfortably in the lead, then getting revenge on # 61 Troy Tempest, who had taken him out at the satrt of the final, Gannon piled Troy into Malcolms gate, but took himself out also. This was great news for Geordie who got two wins, though he would claim that hius superior driving skills were more instrumental in his successes.. Yeah reet woteva, like you saying Im not a Geordie Im from Cumbria.

        • Supers had an interesting day too, loadsa smoke and fires from one car, but loadsa success too. Yup it was a funny old day for new car, but experienced driver, # 964 Anthony Whittaker. The others had some fun and stuff too, # 802 Capt Black seeiming to do well then summot happened and he slipped down, or up. Anyway more cars meant more action and more fun.

        • Bangers, what fun were they, Team V in force, Bad Newz ditto and a good handfull of Mr Men. Yup we knew we were going to have a good day, with wrecks, racing and all done with handshakes at the end. Where to begin, well heat one I guess, the heat two, then the fianl and then the Dash4cash and DD. Yup it was action all the way, big wrecks too, good head ons in the dd, skillfull walling of cars (without following them in) and when the video are up you can watch it all online FOR FREE...

        • Photos going up tonite, so have a gander. Post comments in guestbook and lets look forward to the 20-04-08 when we do it all again. Points and results moved to bottom of page and will be updated by end of the week.
