  • Thanks to Team Retards and others who turned up today for the Track Day.

  • Once again the committee would like to put our side on the issue that has been raised in the guestbook.

    Neil Rawsthorne who was still on a ban from misdemeanours from earlier in 2007, choose to climb over the fencing and attempted to assault a driver over an incident on the track at the Christmas Fun Meeting. As a result of this incident the committee took the decision that in order for Neil Rawsthorne to race at the track in 2008, he was required to become a member, and put up a bond.The balance of the bond after the membership costs would be returned at the end of the season, providing there were no further incidents.

  • Track day tommorrow (Sunday) to tidy track up and do some odd jobs, not paint though as the weather is too bad at moment. So please pop up and help out, note there will be a bar b que supplying FREE FOOD at lunch time. Sadly I have to work, but I will be with you in spirit.

  • Reet the language in the guestbook has reached its peak, I have had a clear out and expect loads more comments re the weekend, but in a manner more like the polite folks you are. Thank you all for your imput.

  • Don't forget that there is a track day this Sunday from 10AM in order to carry out repairs and paint the track, show your support for your club and turn up and help the club out. TA.

  • Right then. Here is a letter drafted at the committee meeting to # 138 Dave Kellett and party last Wednesday, 4 DAYS BEFORE Sundays Civil War.
    None of us could have predicted what happened but we all wish the best to Spikey, his family and friends.

    
We, the committee, write with reference to the incident on the 30th December 2007. This incident involved you 
driving out of the designated pits area, narrowly missing two spectators on the ramp opposite race control, you 
then drove at two other spectators causing them to jump over the fencing. After this you reversed at great speed
 across the pits again endangering spectators near the burger van. This behaviour will not be tolerated and as such 
the committee have imposed a ban on you from driving in ALL Warton Stock Car Events. This ban will be in force until
 the end of the 2009 season, and will then be reviewed.
    
A member of the party that attended with you at Christmas-Mr Steven Kellett, physically assaulted a Warton employee, 
this will not be tolerated and as such he will also be banned from driving until the end of the 2009 season, this ban
 will also be reviewed at that time.

  • I liked Dave as a person and admired his sometimes brillient skill, but NO ONE can condone his actions from the 30th December at Warton and the dispickable actions at the Civil War. I have let some strong comments go in the guestbook and let Dave reply.. His time at Warton was over for at least two seasons before his actions on Sunday, maybe Dave, you should take up stamp collectinmg or something, or just hide for a VERY LONG TIME!

  • Well done/Hard luck to our brave wet Nothern Drivers, whom I'm sure, put up a sterling show against the Southern Softies at Hedno. Sadly I gotten a text on my way down demanding I go to work today, so I missed all the action/fun/rain.

  • Book in for Metal Mania NOW, Jnr Bangers with me or with Graham, adult Unlimited drivers book in with Angela.

  • So not long til the Civil War at Hendo. Stu Kearsley has told me hes taking a rest and some cans to this event this year, so all the best to the new look North team.

  • We had a committee meeting, and like last year, I will post up a summery of stuff on here, only this year its going to be in the newspage and not on its own..

    Right then, if there are enough Jnr Bangers who BOOK IN, we will have them as support for Metal Mania.

    Stock cars will also support at Metal Mania.

    Do you want to keep WARton of the Roses as the same format ie. Jnr Bangers, 2 Ltrs and Unlimited.

    We need more marshalls, Commentator and an Assistant Starter contact Graham for more details.

    The AGM is on 30th Jan (members only) 8PM start at Ex-Servicemen's Club.

    The Registration Meeting will be on 13th Feb at same place at same time.

    F2's will be at Warton three times this year, 4th May - 8th June - 3rd August. These dates are confirmed and finalised.
