Due to us having F2 Stock Cars next year, we are going to have to fit a transponder loop in the track. The cost
isnt much, but it seems a waste to spend the cash and not use it on non F2 meetings, so are there any Stock Car drivers interested
in getting transponders for their cars? You ill have to buy them yourselves, and we will need to get a cheap laptop, but
it might be intresting getting facts & figures and stuff, obviously there will have to be a new rule as to where the transponder is on the car,
ie a distance from the front bumper. We await your thoughts.
Snr Minis almost 30 interested now. There is a meeting 8PM NEXT THURSDAY at the Ex-Servicemens Club Carnforth (where the AGM &
Regestration are held every year). ONLY INTERESTED DRIVERS CAN ATTEND. This is your chance to sort out rules & modifacations
etc. If you don't come, you can't put in your imput!
We need a comentator for 2008 season, if you or someone you know are intrested, then please contact Graham on 07961 451348
Glen Lord look at rule 3.
Christmas Bonanza is on the SUNDAY after Christmas (30th Dec.) EVERY DRIVER will pay £5 to race on the day. There is
prize money up for grabs in the Finals.
We will need an assistant Starter next season too, so again contact Graham if your intrested.

The Team Meeting made a profit, which is good, and much better than lots of normal domestic meetings.
40 Bangers turned up, Team Moist (Beckertons & Co) got held up in traffic after a nasty accident at Long Preston and
were still stuck way after noon, so they went home.
Things are moving (no punn intended) with the toilets, but this will take months due to red tape & costs.
We need a commentator for the next meeting and marshalls too.
Members only - collect your presentation dance tickets from Shirley at the next race meeting.
Rule changes must be in by end of next race meeting. (Don't forget to get them seconded by another non related member).
Super Banger driver meeting being organised, contact Ann Potts if you wish to attend.
Unlimited Minis are possably going to return in 2008, but as a cheap formula, limited engines to 1300cc, rules to be
decided at a meeting of intrested drivers, contact Graham on 07961 451348. Oh they will be called Snr Minis as they now have a
limit.

There was a check made on three Ministox at the end of their Grand Nationals. # 93, # 140 and # 285, all were found
to be legal and above board.
Race seats are, and always have been, allowed in bangers at Warton.
Bangers for 9th sept... £20 for Best car (tin and or Paintjob)... £50 for winner of Final and same for winner of DD (subject
to at least five bangers taking part in the DD). This is to encorage numbers for the Unlimited meeting, follow the dissapointing turn out last meeting.
It was mentioned that Belle Vue only had 11 bangers though the day after.
The committee is and has been aware of the toilet situation and is looking into various ways of improving things. It
may take time and will take some money to be thrown at it.
These drivers need to return the trophies they received last season. ASAP (ta)

We had 22 Metros and 13 bangers and a surprisingly good day on Sunday (what with the British GP and bad weather on the way up)
Metros are getting more difficult to get hold of, so would banger drivers want to change the meeting to another
class of banger (e.g. small vans or one make like Escorts or Micras or Corsas, you get the idea).
Caravan Meeting, you MUST book in ASAP as places are limited, contact Angela. I suggested we have two cravan races, with
half the vans in each with only a quick tidy up after the first heat. We would space out the vans round the track and
hopefully get a few more laps in too, more fun for paying spectators and more fun for the drivers. Remember you MUST
have a grill/mesh on your windowscreen. No caravans longer than 15"
Can you also book in if your racing a Robin at the HESP, via Angela again.
Offroad bikes are NOT ALLOWED AT WARTON, do not bring them, or ride them on race day anywhere at the track out grounds.
If the bikes are linked to a driver, its the driver that will get in trouble.
It was suggested that Ministox drivers, who race Jnr Bangers, should start at the back of the grid in Jnr banger races.
Also roof colours will be brought into play for normal bangers, to stop the two grid pre race chaos that we seem to
get every meeting.

Last meeting was another good one for the club with 19 bangers putting on a good show, along with Mr Wells (Snr)
and Mr Hoaggy.
Stock cars will race three heats from now on.
Mr Wells (555) had a good day raising over £300 for the cancer charity.
There will be a Ladies Race on Championship day, and banger driver who loan a car for the ladies race will get
appearance money for the normal races as well as another amount for the loan for the ladies race. (so 2 lots of appearance
money if the car races in normal bangers & ladies race.)
There ARE enough Jnr Bangers booked in, so next meeting WILL be Jnr Bangers instead of Ministox, so leave your Ministox
at home! NOTE: Jnr Bangers are nudge & spin only NO FOLLOWING IN, you have been warned.
Robins MUST book in for HESP meeting, see Angela, just to check on numbers!
We need more marshals, we pay for your services and you get to see the racing up close & personal like! Interested ?
Contact Mr Chair next meeting.
Meeting closed at 10:10PM.
Committee Meeting Date : 13-06-07
Present : Graham Hayhurst (Chair) - Gerald Hogarth (V-Chair) - Phillipa Rawesthorne - John Ball - Trevor

18 Bangers at the last meeting, a good number more so when you realise Hendo Team Meeting was on the same day !
For championship day, day drivers can race as long as they A: Race in THREE domestic meetings before then (excl fun meetings like Metal
Mania amd WOR.) B:Pay the difference to the £75 for a years membership. Note points will only be awarded AFTER drivers
become members, they will not be back dated.
The MINISTOX Grand National from the last meeting, will be RERUN as the first race this Sunday. Heat one will be instead of Heat two, heat two will be
before the interval, heat three (if needed) after interval and final and Grand National run last after other classes.
There is NOT ENOUGH Jnr Bangers booked in for the next Jnr Banger meeting, book in now, or it will revert to Ministox abnd
there will be no more Jnr Banger meetings until the Christmas Bonanza.

Again the weather was not kind, but we had plenty of cars.
30 Bangers
25 Stock Cars
29 Ministox
10 Super Bangers
WARton of the ROSES is deffo on, we have enough cars.
Super Bangers and Stock Cars will have a £50 Dash 4 cash, instead of a Grand National.
Trackday on Sunday 20th May, to wire up PA system and other jobs, food will be provided.
16-06-07 is the start of the SCORTON Show, at Scorton, we will be thre with cars & stuff.

Despite the weather, the 22-04-07 Meeting was a success, with 28 bangers racing along with three heats of Ministox
and two heats for the Stock Cars.
The Modstox guys sent their thanks for a warm welcome and they enjoyed their wet days racing.
The main concern was the Super Bangers, with the heat one race being the only one for the class held that day, there
will be a meeting for 2007 season Super Banger drivers on 1st May to try and sort things out.
We are going to push the WARton of the Roses meeting with only a few places left on the Yorks 2LTR side and plenty
of room in the Unlimited Bangers (We need to confirm drivers in order for the Unlimiteds to race. Remember EVERY driver
in the bangers gets £20 for racing W-O-R, with an extra £10 to the winning teams drivers. Its an 'Open meeting' and that
means no payment required from non members to race bangers.. so a free days racing with prize money too!
Junior Bangers - Our 'old school drivers' have now all grown up, ie over 16 years old, so we need some new drivers to
put themselves forward, you are reminded that JUNIOR BANGERS are NUDGE & SPIN ONLY. No jackings, follow-ins, drivers doors
or hitting stationary cars. The bangers also have more of a crumple zone than the rigid full contact Ministox and, on
the whole, are more forgiving. Though I remind you that motorsports are dangerous, so make sure your car is built well.
If anyone wants to build a banger and race at W-O-R then please contact SnOrK via the link at top of the Newspage, or on the front
(home) page of the site.

The easter Meeting was a success, plenty of cars racing and a good gate. (there was 15 Unlimited Bangers - which
was not all that bad considering other meetings over Easter and the fact that Unlimited Meetings are usually lower turnouts
than the 2LTR meetings - which the next meeting is).
We have Modstox visiting on the 22nd.. As well as a full racecard.
The 2LTR 10 on 10 with Buxton is ready to go.
WARton of the Roses - Junior Bangers are nudge & spin only. The other classes are normal domestic rules (no follow ins,
no jacking stationary cars, no drivers door). each member of the winning team gets £30, each driver of the loosing team get £20..

Practice day confirmed for 25th March at 10AM - 3PM, £20 per car. There will be a burger van present too.
Theres a track day on the first of April, painting the new track wall and other jobs, we need as many of you to turn
up as possable. There may be a Bar-b-q on too, oooh er.
We have 150+ members so far, don't forget to get yours BEFORE the Easter meeting, in order to save £15. Details on news page
The 2007 Rules will be sent to me and posted ASAP.
The commentator is sorted for Easter.
There may be a need to run three heats for Ministox and or Stock Cars if the numbers we are expecting turn up. Ask on
race days for confirmation.
WARton of the Roses, page up now, also the support classes (Stock Cars and Supers) will be racing for points!
Dates confirmed for Ten on Ten with Buxton.
There were 56 bangers racing at Metal Mania last Sunday.

Race meetings for the season were discussed:
There will be a ten on ten with Buxton again this year. Home leg 6th May (TBC) and return leg 1st July (TBC)
Modstox will visit us on 22nd April - 10th June - 9th Sept.
WARton of the ROSES. (27th May) There will be 12 cars in each team for Junior Bangers, 2LTR Bangers and UNLIMITED BANGERS
(subject to Unlimited numbers being high enough).
Stock Cars and Super Bangers will support the day, and that will give time for the bangers to get fixed (Grand nationals will
only run if theres time). We need Team Captains too, so if your intrested lets us know.
Metal Mania. Ministox and Stock Cars will be the support classes, Supers will race at Easter, to give the guys 'n' Gals more
time to build the new spec cars.
Hesp 2007. The main race will be 2LTR Rear Wheel Drive, the rest of the banger races will be 2LTR on the day, apart from the
Robins (talking of which, how kewl was Top Gear with the Robin Space Shuttle).
Also disscussed were:
Trackwork is compleated and done to a high standard.
Insurance is in place.
Track Day is this Sunday 10am, theres plenty to do so come and give them a hand.
Regestration night next Wednesday (not this one as a few drivers thought).
Non members entrace fees will be £8 for adults & £4 for Kids and OAPs.
Practice day is 25th March, £20 per car.
Graham has a new mobile number (07961 451348).
That was about that. Meeting closed at 10:30PM (ish)
