Is it time 4 a change at Warton Stock Car Club ??.

Everyone seems to have an opinion on what's going on at Warton Stock Car Club, and everyone seems to think they can do better... But can they ?
Mick O'Brien has done a sterling job over the years as chairman of the Club, but two years ago he offered to retire and let some one else take over, no one took up the challenge and Mick has remained in the chair since. Though I have only been going to Warton for around three seasons, I think that Mick has been a great chairman for us. That said, maybe its time for someone else to take over. That person has to sacrifice their personal life for the Club, working behind the scenes every spare minute they have, to push the club forward and to increase the profile of it.
Moaning and groaning about the state of the bangers, unlimited minis, super bangers etc is NOT going to make any difference. Members can put forward names of other members to be voted onto the committee and its the committee that vote for the chairman. Nominees must be in writing, and proposed by TWO other members, to Shirley by the NEXT meeting 29th DEC and NO LATER. THE AGM IS ON TUESDAY 21st JAN 2003 at 8PM at the COCKED HAT in CARNFORTH, where the committee will be voted for. So if you want to make a real difference, then get thinking about what to do.. The current committee were voted in by you the members!! So is it your fault your fed up with everything ?
No doubt I will get a phone call or e-mail from someone saying I should not write stuff like this, but at the end of the day its a free country and this is MY SITE :)

If I get banned from Warton don't worry, this site will continue and I will visit other tracks around the country. I am looking forward to the Civil War 4 and Icebreaker :)
That said I would love to be the official Warton Photographer again, but not under the same terms as before, I would even do it for FREE! I am behind Warton all the way, but would move on if forced too.
