NOTES FROM THE CHAIRMAN (27-12-04)
Hello and welcome to Warton Stock car club, the last meeting of 2004, with today being a fun meeting.
Everybody who races today pays £5.00 there will be 2 heats, a final and a DD in the bangers. There will also be prize
money for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in the final and the winner of the DD.
I hope you all had a good Christmas, got lots of presents and have eaten all the turkey if not you will be getting it
everyday.
The last meeting, was very light on bangers but were very well presented and they put on a good show.
Mini stox are still over taking on the waving yellow flags, also the ignoring of the red flags when they come out the
ones breaking this rule are the drivers that are not going to the drivers meetings. If this persists next season we
will be introducing a stickers system, where you will be handed a sticker at the drivers meeting and you will put this
on your car. If you turn up to race with no sticker on your car you will not be allowed to race.
Still on with the minis, at one of the race meetings the red flags was out and the majority of cars had stopped but two
cars carried on racing when a person was injured and there were marshals on the track. Due to these two irresponsible
drivers a certain persons called up the Health and Safety and reported this incident. The club now has a lot of work to
do before the start of the season.
I would also like to thank certain people who get in touch with the Health and Safety it does not do the club any
favours.
The Super Banger class this year has kept up with the numbers, they haven't been as boring as they used to be and the
racing has been very fast. I hope this continues onto next year.
I would like to congratulate all the gold top winners of 2004 they really worked hard this season. The presentation
night was really good everybody enjoyed themselves.
I would like to thank you all for the engraved tankard it was very much appreciated.
We have junior bangers here today, lets hope they are as entertaining as they were last time they raced.
Printed out below is a letter from Mr and Mrs Hall, Malcolms mum and dad.
From all of Malcolms family
We would like to say a huge `Thank you` to everyone at Warton Stock Car . We are all immensely moved and thankful to
you all for your kindness. It goes without saying that Malcolm absolutely loved the time he spent with you all at the
stock car races, and it is so comforting to us, to know you cared so much about him.
Thanking you Mr and Mrs T Hall and family
The AGM is on Wednesday 26th January 2005 at 8.00pm at the ex-servicemans club. The registration meeting is on the 9th
February at the same venue.
All the best for the former stock car queen, our new queen for the season of 2005 is Helen.
I would like to wish everybody a good new year and many thanks to the committee members, St Johns and everybody else
who helps out on a Sunday, without them there would be no racing.
Only one more thing to say and that's to have a very good Christmas meeting.

NOTES FROM THE CHAIRMAN (24-10-04)
Well we are all here for the final meeting of the season, the formula 2`s are here with us today. The last meeting was
a really good one with the banger drivers putting on a good display and after a quick word with the super drivers they
really got down to it and raced.
The gold roofs are nearly all decided with Dan Steele in the bangers, John Riley in the Supers and Alex Chapman in the
Stock cars. The only class which we could see a change is the mini stox, some really good driving coming from their
top drivers today.
An update on Dave, he has broke his leg in seven places, the ankle is smashed in and he has got 10 pins in the leg with
a plate all round it. Dave asked me to say a big thanks to the St Johns ambulance for patching him up but most
importantly thanks to TNT for getting his car home. THANKS LADS.
Today we are giving start money for drivers who are members of the club, so get yourselves along to Shirley`s office to
pick it up.
We still have the fire extinguishers, which have been made into petrol tanks for sale at just £2.00, see myself, or a
member of the committee. The money will be going into the Malcolm Hall fund for the headstone.
Can all drivers when exiting the track please be careful and look for the public passing the exit gate. We would
appreciate your co-operation in this matter thanks.
The committee and myself have noticed that the registered drivers are taking the cars off the track, thanks very much
to all those that do this and keep it up.
Please could you place your litter in the bins provided, we do need to keep on top of this matter as we are still
looking for somebody to come and pick it up on a Monday after every race meeting.
A notice to the mini stox drivers, please keep your eyes on the flags especially when the marshals are waving a yellow.
At the last meeting a few of you were overtaking on waving yellows, if you are found to be doing this then you will be
black flagged. When the yellow flag is waving you should not be going more than a walking pace.
We have done a survey with St Johns ambulance on these harnesses for the junior drivers and found that if the straps on
the harness are to high above the shoulders it would cause the driver bad whip lash. Please think about this when you
are fitting your junior into the car ready to race.
All trophies should be handed back in to Shirley today for engraving.
Can you place your car parts in the bins provided or take them home with you. We have just managed to clear the
majority away.
The presentation dance is being held on Friday 19th November 2004 at the Carleton rooms in Morecambe starting at 8.00pm.
Entrance is by ticket only members will be receiving theirs nearer the time.
If you would like to come onto the committee next year please put your name forward and signed by a committee member,
then hand it in to Shirley before the end of the Christmas meeting. So you have a few weeks to think about it.
If you have an issue with the rules on your racing class, get a proposal in but don`t forget to have it seconded.
Both people have to be members of the club and race in the same formula. All these have to be in by the Christmas
meeting, which is being held on 27th December.
Do not forget to check your lights on your trailors before you leave tonight.
The next meeting will be the Christmas meeting and it is £5.00 per car in all classes to race, and there will be prize
money for the final.
Last of all I would like to thank everybody for the help and support you have given myself, and the committee this
season and hope to see you all at the Christmas meeting, all have a good Christmas and don't forget the presentation
dance Friday 19th November.

NOTES FROM THE CHAIRMAN (10-10-04)
Well here we all are with only two meetings left till we reach the end of the season, it has gone so quick. The last
meeting kept us all on our toes, the appropriate people have been dealt with over their actions and a committee member
has stepped down. I would like to send my get-well wishes to the people who were injured at the last meeting.
We had a good turnout of junior bangers at the last meeting, with a few looking like they would make great banger
drivers in the future. Get your cars patched or a new one built as we are holding junior bangers at the Christmas
meeting on 27th December.
It is £5.00 for everybody to race on that day, in every class.
Thank you to everybody who put money into the collection to help fund for a headstone for Malcolm. We are now in the
process of purchasing one.
A big thanks to 274 David Christopher, 802 Graham Black, 668Peter Wells, 41 Dan Steele and 25 Andy Yeats for their kind
donations.
I would like to say a big thank you to the Pennington family for turning up to the track last Sunday to help clear the
litter and do some maintenance jobs. All this is very much appreciated. Thanks very much!
Please could you place your rubbish in the litter bins provided, we do need to keep on top of this matter as we are
still looking for somebody to come and pick it up on a Monday after the race meetings.
Today we are giving start money for drivers who are members of the club, so get yourselves along to Shirley's office to
pick it up.
Just a quick reminder about the speed in the pits is only 5mph, please be vigilant as well over people walking in the
pit area.
Can all drivers when exiting the track please be careful and look for the public passing the exit gate. We would
appreciate your co-operation on this matter thanks.
There were a lot of reports about drivers and their mechanics drinking alcohol in the pits, please could I remind you
that this is against the clubs rules and possible bans can be enforced.
A notice to all drivers and their mechanics, please put your tools away when not in use or when you go to race, we are
still having trouble with the thieves. Do not leave your valuables in your car on show and keep your cars locked.
If the person that wins the final is not taking their car of the track please make sure it is a registered driver that
does take your car off. We must enforce this as a safety precaution.
The presentation dance is being held on Friday 19th November 2004 at the Carleton rooms in Morecambe starting at 8.00pm.
Entrance is by ticket only members will receive theirs nearer the time.
If you would like to come onto the committee next year please put your name forward and signed by a member and hand it

people have to be members of the club and race in the same formula. All these have to be in by the Christmas meeting,
which is being held on 27th December.
The next meeting is being held on Sunday 24th October, where we are having stock cars, bangers, mini stox and super
bangers. We also have the f2`s here with us for the last time this year.
Do not forget to check your lights before you leave tonight .
Thanks for all your support.

NOTES FROM THE CHAIRMAN (26th Sept 2004)
CONGRATULATIONS to you silver roof winners, number 41 Dan Steele for the bangers, number 16 Thomas Hall for the mini stox,
number 14 John Riley for the super bangers and number 67 Pete Fawcett for the stock cars. Well done guys you came out on
top despite the weather turning nasty on us. Lets hope the weather shines on us today.
Well today is the big day for Bad News and TNT, they have been given one race with 10 on 10, the only rule they have is no
drivers door. You have been voting on wartononline for your favourite team to win so have those cameras ready it is a
race not to be missed.
Will TNT be a totally nutty team and bash those Bad News boys or will those Bad news boys totally nialate them? All will
be revealed.
If this all goes well it is a strong possibility that we will have other teams in the future.
Today is start money for the driver members of the club. If you do not collect your start money we will be putting it in
the collection pot for Malcolms headstone.
We still have the fire extinguishers which can be made into petrol tanks for sale at just £2.00, see myself, or a member
of the committee the money will also go into the fund.
Can all drivers when exiting the track please be careful and look for the public passing the exit gate. We would appreciate
your co-operation on this matter, thanks.
A notice to all drivers and their mechanics, please put your tools away when not in use or when you go and race, we are
still having trouble with the thieves.
The club is still looking for someone to clean the toilets after every race meeting and for somebody to come down on a
Monday after racing and pick up the litter. If you are interested please come and see me. With nobody now picking litter
up will you please put your litter in the bins provided. We would appreciate your co-operation in this matter. Thanks.
If the person that wins the final is not taking their car off please make sure it is a registered driver that does take
your car off. We must enforce this as a safety precaution.
With the accident that happened last meeting in the banger class we are not allowing jacking up of stationary cars.
EP videos are here with us today so get yourself along and have a look at the videos and the DVDs that they have for sale.
I have not heard anything about the possibility of having an escort sized van race next year. If you are interested and
can get hold of the vans please come and see me as if we are to be holding a race next year I really need to know for the
AGM.
The presentation dance is being held on Friday 19th November 2004 at the Carleton rooms in Morecambe starting at 8.00pm.
Entrance is by ticket only members will receive theirs nearer the time.
The next meeting is being held on Sunday October 10th, where we are having the 2 litre bangers, stock cars, super bangers
and the juniors back in their minis. It is hard to believe we are nearly at the end of the season it has gone so quick.
Now the darker nights are coming on us check your lights on your motors and trailers to see that they are in working order.
Thanks for all who support me and the club.

A NOTE FROM THE CHAIRMAN (Program 12th Sept 04)
Well here we are at this years championship meeting where that silver roof is up for grabs.
There has been close racing in all the classes this year, especially the mini stox. It
will be very interesting to see which driver comes out on top in that mini stox champion
race. Get your cameras ready for the parade lap of honour that our drivers rightly deserve
today you are in for a great day.
At the last meeting I must apologise for the delay in getting the cars onto the track we
are looking into the improvement on this. The caravan race was very good to watch hope you
all enjoyed that.
I would like to the thank the drivers and there teams for putting there caravan waste into
the skip that was placed in the pits by Gerald. It was very much appreciated and it helped
tremendously.
Mini stox drivers are you actually listening to the committee and myself please read and
take note.
The drivers with black and white stripes on stay OUT of the racing lane keep to the outside
of the track.
If you win a race then the next race you start at the back of your roof colour.
Please take notice of the flags, if we have to do a few restarts the race will become void.
When racing is going on and you land up stationary on the track please do not remove your
helmet and do not undo the safety harness remain in your car with everything still in place.
Can you all line up in single file when you are waiting to come onto the track if the
ambulance is needed they haven't a chance at getting it out.
A note to all classes if you do win a race then on the next one you must start off at the
back of your roof colour.
To all drivers and mechanics please be careful with your tools and personnel belongings
especially mobile phones, these are being pinched as soon as they are put down. When you
go off to race lock everything away.
The club has received a letter of thanks from Dawn, which I have printed out below.
To Norman and everybody at Warton stock car club,
I would just like to thank all of you for the flowers and cards I have been sent.
I thank all of you who attended Malcolms funeral and for helping me get through the past
two weeks.
Malocolm loved stock cars and all of you, he used to talk non- stop about cars.
I am missing his cheeky smile and cuddles so much, he was a very loving and giving man.
I`m sure he`s looking down on us all
I really appreciate your kindness.
Thanking you all
Dawn xx
Can all drivers that are exiting the track at the out gate please watch for any members of
the public that might be passing the gate.
There is to be no public cars parked in the pits, as they can be easily damaged by lorries
or trailers that are bringing racing cars up.
Below I have printed out an email that I received after the last meeting
Dear Norman,
I have been an avid supporter of Warton Stock Cars for the last 5 years. I have attended in
all sorts of weather and conditions. My family and I have always had a great time and have
made some good friends with the stock car lads.
I must admit that if I have had to answer the call of nature, I am one of those who nips
into the disabled loo. However, on Sunday 29th August an anouncement was made asking able
bodied people not to do this. So being the type of person I am I gladly obliged and went
to use the other toilets. Now I do not expect the height of cleanliness, in a rough and
ready environment like stock car racing, but what I experienced was disgusting to say the
least and unhygenic at it's worst.
In the ladies loo more than half the loos did not flush and were consequently blocked. I
could not decide if the "mess" on the floor was mud & water or urine!! There was I am glad
to say plenty of loo roll. However, there were no handwashing facilities.
I do not know if your club as any plans to improve the toilet facilities but I suggest that
they need a damn good clean at least and the provision of handwashing facilities.
yours sincerely,
Name and address supplied
I would just like to say in reply to this person that there is no running water down to the
toilets so we are relying on a water cart to fill the tank up on top of the toilets, if
this person had been coming for 5 years she would know this.
The toilets have wet wipes placed in them first thing every race meeting, however at the
meeting before vandals had been in and shoved nearly 600 wet wipes all down the toilets.
As a result to this we are still trying to get the pipes clear. The person who used to
clean the toilets has sadly passed away, which is something else she would have known as
this was also advertised, we are still looking for a person or people to come and clean them.
So instead of everybody winging about them why not do something about it and help.
With all the rain that was thrown down at the beginning of the last meeting is it any
wonder the floor was wet. People will be expecting us to take your boots off next.
We are looking for improving the toilets but with lack of helpers it will take time.
The club is looking for someone to do the job of picking up litter on a Monday after every
race meeting and to clean the toilets up at the end of the race meetings. If you are
interested then please come and see me.
The trophies you win today please return back to Shirley so she can have them engraved and
you will be presented with them at the presentation dance.
Friday the 19th November 2004 is the night of the presentation dance, so order your suits
now. It is being held at the Carleton rooms in Morecambe, starting at 8.00pm. Entrance is
by ticket only members will receive their tickets nearer the time.
The next meeting is being held on Sunday 26th September starting at 12 o`clock. We have the
Super Bangers, stock cars, 2 litre bangers and the little ones are in their junior bangers
and not forgetting that all important 10 on 10 between bad news and TNT. Tony has got a
page on his website all about this race, he is waiting for names so as soon as he gets them
he will let you know. Not a race to be missed the only rule these guys have is no hitting
of the drivers door everything else goes. If this goes pretty good we might have something
like this next season but with more teams.
Don`t forget to bring your cameras it will be a day not to miss.
Tim and Alex Catleys website is up and running. You can access this site through Tony
www.wartononline.com or visit www.timandalex.com, they have now got all the photographs up
from the Gary Hesp memorial meeting.
I would like to thank 178 Bones and 501 Basher for racing those two caravans for me at the
last meeting. They were both racing for £50.00 each, which they agreed to donate to charity.
The Christie hospital in Manchester being one and the other is donating it to the fund for
Malcolm. Hope you both enjoyed the racing, cheers lads.
We are still selling the old fire extinguishers made into petrol tanks for you banger lads.
These can be bought for £2.00 from a member of the committee or from myself. The money
that is taken for these is going towards Malcoms fund also.
Talking of the fund for Malcolm, at the next meeting, which is being sponsored by Steve
Hardy of The Malt Shovel we will be having a collection on the gate. The money will go
towards payment for a headstone for Malcolms grave.
Steve is putting up a trophy for the Super bangers, in memory of Malcolm. This will be
presented at the next meeting for the winner of the final. It will need to be returned
though to Shirley for engraving and you will be presented with it at the presentation dance.
There is start money again today so don't forget to ask Shirley for it.
Hope you all have a good day today and cheer for your favourite drivers.
Thanks for all who support me and the club.

Notes from the chairman 29th August 2004
What a great day we had at the last race meeting, the sun shone on us all day and the racing
was fantastic.
First I would like to apologize for the last meeting finishing so late. With the amount of
cars that there was we could not rush the day.
I would like to thank everybody that turned up to the drivers meeting for a minute silence
in the memory of Malcolm. He has stood on the out gate for many years, always with a smile
. Malcolm had his favorite drivers, especially in the Stock cars, which he always cheered
on. Malcolm was a very reliable person he turned up no matter what the weather. He then
met Dawn and he was up at the track even more because they used to do odd jobs together like
clean the toilets after every meeting and then they would come back on the Monday and
Tuesday to clean up all the rubbish. I am sure you will agree that he will be missed.
Onto a brighter note the Gary Hesp Memorial meeting sponsored by the Invaders. What can
I say, with a turn out of nearly 70 bangers. I am sure you will all agree that the day was
a huge success and the drivers put on a good display. I have printed out below an email
that I received following the Hesp meeting.
Dear Norman,
I am Gary`s sister, Barbara, I and other members of Gary`s family attended last weekends
meeting which was held in memory of Gary. We would just like to let you know how much we
appreciated everything that was done and how much we enjoyed the day.
We understand from the lads in the Invader team that the trophy in Gary`s memory was
donated by Debs and Andy Pennington, I was hoping that you may be able to give me an e
mail address or a contact number so we can contact them to thank them personally. We
understand that a trophy will be presented annually by Andy and Debs and we would like
to make a contribution towards this. On behalf of my mum and all of Gary`s family, Thanks
for making last Sunday a very special day. Gary would have approved 100%.
Barbara Hesp
Hi Norman,
I had to write to you and tell you how much I enjoyed the last meeting. You really did the
club proud. It was very touching that you did a minutes silence for Malcolm that worked
with you all. The amount of cars that turned up was great and did Warton proud. My best
class that I personally like is the super bangers. They are really going great guns and
they are no longer boring. I would like to say to all those super banger drivers to keep
up the good racing you are doing your class proud also. To you Norman keep up the good
work it is being a great season. I am really looking forward to the next meeting where you
are having the caravans.
Name and address supplied
I received another couple of letters over last Sunday aswell but on another matter.

address supplied
Dear Norman,
On Sunday 8th August I was very surprised at the aggression and the bad language from an
ex chairman which he gave to you. The lady shouted at him from the window and told him
to stop swearing as there was a large amount of children and spectators around. We could
not believe what we were hearing. When he did stop was when you, Norman told him if he
carried on he would be escorted from the track. The excellent turn out of cars was really
entertaining, the racing is just getting better. .
Keep up the good work you are doing a good job. The club looks to me, to be moving forward
and getting better all the time. Don`t let anything like this situation get you down.
I would appreciate it if you would print this in your notes for the next meeting.
Thanks.
Name and address supplied
The club received a thank you letter from the children of Chernobyl.
Dear Val
Just a quick note from the Lunesdale Group of the Chernobyl Children`s Project.
All the visiting children thoroughly enjoyed themselves today.
Many Thanks
Angilina.
I have had an email forwarded to me from Michael Coventry from the Wasted magazine, asking
Tony for all the photos from the Hesp memorial. Tony has sent a disk off to him. This
should help make Hesp memorial a National recognized event, as well as raising the profile
of Warton Stock Car Club to a National level.
An update on the Website, A petition was handed in at the last meeting. This was over Tony
becoming the official Website for Warton. It was signed by over 100 people nearly all being
members and drivers of the club. The committee, have taken all this into consideration
and are now trying to resolve this matter. As soon as a decision is made you will all be
the first to know.
My chairman's notes are put up on Wartononline Website, so if you lose your book you can
always read them on there, or just read them whilst you are looking through the site.
For the Mini Stox drivers please line up in single file at the in gate and the drivers with
Black and white stripes on the backs of their cars please stick to the outside of the racing
line. The red and blue roof drivers will line up on the grid in point scoring order, this
will apply at all race meetings.
Just a reminder to all parents or guardians of ministox drivers you must be a member and
bring your membership card with you when you attend scrutinizing.
It has been brought to our attention about the kind of footwear that the drivers are wearing
for racing please do not wear trainers but some kind of thick hard wearing boots. If an
accident was to occur whilst you are racing and wearing trainers there is a strong
possibility of a broken ankle. The committee and I would appreciate your co-operation in
this matter. Thanks.
I would like to personally thank Dave Stansfield 611 and Lee Bennet 612 for attending the
Adlington Carnival on the 7th August. It was a very hot day for them, they displayed and
advertised Warton Stock Car Club for us and took their cars up as well. Thank you very much
guys.
The committee and I would like to send our condolences to Mr Isles-Heardman and family on
the death of his wife. Also we send our deepest sympathy to Mick O`Brien on the loss of his
son. We are all thinking of you.
A note for the banger drivers, we are selling old fire extinguishers that can be made into
petrol tanks. If you are interested in getting one, they are £2.00 from a committee member.
We now have a hydraulic cutter and a new saw as part of our safety equipment, plus a fireman
on the crash team Roland Kelshaw.
If you are a person that wins a final race please make sure it is a registered driver or a
member that takes your car off the track, if not doing it yourself. This must be enforced
as a safety precaution.
At the last race meeting we had a collection for McMillan cancer, we raised over £280.00 so
a big thank you to everybody that contributed.
Now something for your diary on Sunday 26th September we have got 10 TNT drivers and cars
plus 10 Bad News drivers and cars. They have been given 1 race and the only rule they have
to follow is no drivers door. Everything else goes. This is not a race to be missed, so
mark it in your diary and don`t forget your cameras.
Next meeting is the championship meeting, where the silver roof is up for grabs. Will Jay
Kellett manage to leave John Riley behind or will David Christopher come through both drivers
and take the roof. Will Alex Chapman keep up his wins and take the silver roof? Who will
come out of the mini stox with the silver roof? Will Dan Steele come through or will Chip
Kitchen hold him back. All these questions will be answered at the next meeting. Not one
to be missed.
I have sponsored 2 caravans for today, driven by 178 Bones and 190 Lee. The 2 drivers are
donating their money to charity today. So help them along and cheer for them.
Hope you all have a good day today, and cheer for your drivers.
Thanks for all who support me and the club.

Notes from the chairman 8th August
Hello and welcome once again to Warton Stock car club. It is hard to believe that we are
just over half way through the season. The weather at the last meeting started off very
poor indeed but later brightened up our day with the beaming sun, lets hope it is a sunny
day today.
The meeting today is being sponsored by the Liverpool Invaders, I am sure you will all agree
we are in for a great meeting. It is the Gary Hesp memorial meeting today and kicking off
with the first prize money is Graham Hayhurst who is giving £25.00 to the robin winner in
the DD.
Next is myself, something for the banger drivers, I am giving £50.00 to the winner of the
banger DD, also John Ball is giving £50 to the winner of the DD. Good luck guys.
The club is giving £25.00 appearance money to every robin that makes it onto the track.
Also, Eddie of EP videos is giving a DVD or video to each final winner and £50.00 for the
winner of the banger final.
Just as a safety point please do not head on in the robin DD. Thank you.
The sign from Red Rose Automative that was lost has now been found but badly damaged.
I would like to thank the person who handed in Mr Murdocks wallet to the police station at
the last race meeting. Cheers
Some spectators were asking about the air ambulance and how much the club pays for it, I
would just like to inform you all that the club holds a collection for the air ambulance a
couple of times a year, they do not charge the club anything.
We are holding a collection for the McMillan cancer today, please show your support and
make a donation. Thank you.
We are still having problems with the drivers jumping the green flags, all classes are being
closely monitored today so if you are found to be doing this you will be black flagged and
the race will be stopped.
For the mini stox drivers please line up in single file at the in gate and the drivers with
black and white stripes on the backs of their cars please stick to the out side of the racing
line.
The red and blue roof drivers will line up on the grid in point scoring order, this will
apply at all race meetings.
Just a reminder to all parents or guardians of mini stox drivers you must be a member and
bring your membership card with you when you attend scrutineering.
It has been brought to our attention about the kind of footwear that the drivers are wearing
for racing please do not wear trainers but some kind of thick hard wearing boots. If an
accident was to occur whilst you are racing and wearing trainers there is strong
possibilities of a broken ankle. The committee and I would appreciate your co-oporation on
this matter. Thanks.
The committee have found a new person to take over the official Warton website, his name is
David Marshal. You will see him today in the infield taking his photographs, it is however
costing the club money.
The show we did at Hambleton was a big success, we had lots of interest from various
people. On the Saturday night John was kept back until 9.00pm. People was still showing
interest, watching the videos and having a social drink. Lets hope it helps to move the
club forward.
I would like to thank all the people who turned up on Friday night at Hambleton to put the
marquee up. Also thanks to Nick Isles-Heardman and family for bringing his mini stox and a
big thanks goes to John and Anthony Kerr for bringing their cars up and for organising this
event. Cheers lads.
Don`t forget to book your caravan in with Val for the 29th August. There is a size limit
14ft nothing bigger. Chains or a tow bar can be used.

(25th July 2004 Program) - - - NOTE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Hello and welcome to Warton Stock car club, lets hope the sun shines on us today, we were
very lucky on the last meeting it was dull but did not rain. We had a very good turn out
for the junior bangers and the metro bangers and we had a good days racing. I would like to
thank all the drivers who turned up to the last meeting on 11th July, despite the big
meeting on at Buxton. (there I beleive it rained all day)
Super banger, the racing was very fast prone to mishaps with 183 going on her side and roof
again but she got out without any trouble covered in petrol to fight on for another day.
I wonder if we see that again she`s getting pretty good in doing stunts like that. Hurray
for Michelle she should be a stunt car driver.
For safety reasons will you please do not climb over the fencing has we do not need any
more accidents specially the two children on top of the hill near the speakers and the chap
going over the fence with a burger.
The formula 2s and the 2 ltr bangers are with us again to-day it should be another good
days racing. (I hope)
We are having the road done up to the track but with the idiots using it as a race track it
will soon be back to normal, please keep the racing for the track. People have spent a
lot of their time doing this so please give us your co-operation in this matter.
Over the last couple of weeks I have had a lot of complaints about drivers in the mini stox
class jumping the green flag, mainly the blue roof classes, which then encourages the red
roofs to follow. Anybody caught doing this will be told to get in the middle and will not
race, also make shore your car is upto the correct weight.
On a sad note Chris and Jas after 8 years doing the Warton web site with no financial help
from the club will no longer be running the site. They are getting involved in the local
band scene in Preston and helping into promoting bands and to set up gigs, so this is
taking up all of there spare time but they will still come to Warton sometime.
So now we are looking for someone to take over the site for no financial gain so if you know
anybody wants to work for nothing let me know.
Chris and Snork have been talking when the official site gets taken over, where can Chris
put his photos when he can get some spare time to come down to Warton. Snork has offered
him a link to his web page to put all his photos on so anybody can still view them.
Don`t forget to book your caravan in with Val for the 29th August. There is a size limit14ft
nothing bigger. Chains or a tow bar can be used.
The Robin Reliants on the 8th August Graham Hayhurst of Trailer Services he is giving £25
start money for every Robin on the track and £25 for the DD.
It is the Gary Hesp Memorial on the same day. The invaders are sponsoring the meeting and
they are all bringing special cars especally 313 Mick Cotton of the Ant Hill Mob. It is
already building up to be a great meeting so don`t miss it.
With my colleague giving money for the robins I will personally give the winner of the
banger driver who wins the DD £50
On another note a few weeks back I mentioned about drinking in the pits, it has happened
again.. He has been warned, the next time he will be banned for the rest of the season and
they will be no discussion on this matter.
There is start money again today, so do not forget to get it from Shirleys office.
The next meeting is on Sunday 8th August where we will be having Stock cars, Super bangers,
robin reliants, mini stox and bangers. .
Peter Wells from Red Rose Automotive put up an advertising sign round the track the other
week at massive expense. It has gone missing, If any body knows or seen the sign will you
please let us know.
I would like to thank the three people at short notice who helped me on the track.
That's all I have to mention for this week.
