What a great meeting & yet again the weather was kind to us!! Awesome racing from ALL classes with well over 20 Bangers & five other race classes it was a full day of action.
Winners included Jordan Rainford (Ministox) , Stavros (Supers) who later kidnapped a Giraffe and plenty of other winners. Photos up right now.
Don't forget its the AGM soon, please make an effort to go, if you were a member in 2009, as theres alot to get through & its always best hearing things first hand instead of the Chinese
Whispers that seem to be part of Warton these days. A good example being someone with nothing better to do than try & hinder the club, texting & telling anyone who would listen that we were NOT racing today.
An utter downright lie... Unless you hear anything from either this site/twitter or facebook off me, then ask questions & speak to a committee member. BTW my name on Facebook is Sn Ork (inc
space). Or have a look at the friends lists of many Warton regulars.

This Bramton v Warton thing, I have spoken to goffy no 99 twice, once before Christmas and today about this meeting. I have had no chance to sort anything out, or speak to the committee about it though
as we have been trying to reorganise the Christmas Bonanza and let everyone know what is occuring. Therefore as far as I am concerned it is still at idea stage and not confirmed.

I'm gutted that we have had to pospone the Christmas Bonananza this Sunday. But the track has five inches of ICE on it and the slopes to the paying in gate, down to the pits & spectator parking areas are all
impossible to drive cars on. The spectators area and the pits are also totally covered in snow and ice. The weather reports are not promising, more snow and lots of very
frosty nights. The toilets are also frozen solid and there seems little chance of them defrosting in time. We are sorry about this but the safety of spectators and the members
have to be our priority.

It was the 13th and despite, an expected low Banger turn out, it was not a bad day. The racing was, as billed, epic with some massive spills in the Stock Cars and not
one, but TWO rolls in the Supers. The Ministox were great too, as were the Senior Minis and we had a few surprises in the Silver Roof winners... Ryan 'modesty' Bentham #525 in the
Ministox, Leon 'lucky b' Barton #109 in Bangers, Jason 'Don't give two figs if yer by brother or not, I'm coming thru' Lord in the Stock Cars, Sarah 'Wopp woop' Thomas in the Ladies Race
and Shaun Yeats #7 in the Senior Minis and Martin Makim #244 in the Supers will also sport the Silver roof from now on. Well done to all of you.
The parade lap went well and was added too by the return of previous Champions and a water pistol fight between Team Headbangers and Team R3tards..It was very very funny.
Sadly we had two accidents that needed St Johns to attend, Scott Bodily #97 fractured a knee in his Ministox, but is eager to get back racing ASAP. In the bangers Ant Kerr #880
had a nap after a wreck in his banger. Reports are saying he is generally OK tho he has hurt a wrist, poss broke it.. So anyway best wishes to both of you & get well soon!
I kinda didnt mention that Ryan was very impressive as he won the Silver roof in a car he has never raced before and there was no practice...Shame Fisi in the Ferarri
didn't do quite as well ;)
Oh and the Stock Car Final which saw an epic duel between the Lord brothers ending in Glen #80 getting spun out & colliding with Daddy Bentham #5 while recovering, launching
Betham onto the wall, with his roof fin..
TEN teams booked in ALREADY for the Team Meeting (11th Oct) you must book in now if you wanna race!

So here is is Championship Day already.. I can't believe that the season has gone so quickly.. But what a season so far.. More club members, more bangers EVERY meeting than most if not all the local
'big' tracks. Great gates, considering Blackpool Pleasure Beach Resort have said they are over 30% down on last year, we aint! Four strong racing classes, Ministox, Senior Minis,
Supers and of course the Stock Cars.. Even the weather this awefull summer has been kind to us, least up to the Caravan meeting. What ever it is we are doing its working.
But lets not let it slip.. So tell your friends, family and strangers about us and the value for money we offer.
and lets keep the Club going up and lets keep it there! A big thank you to EVERYONE who has visited the track, as a spectator, racer or helping out, we couldnt do it without you.
The silver roofs will be decided on the 13th..as will many trophies... Warton Stock Car Club, its all good ;)
No children under 10 years old allowed on cars on the parade lap. Its an health & saftey issue.

Great racing on Sunday. Sadly my video camera got clobbered by its THIRD caravan in as many years and I fear has passed over. Less seemed to be more in the caravans as we got some
racing as well as some awesome wrecking. the Unlimited Bangers were good too, tho would have been very low in numbers if we hadnt allowed Mondaeos to race. This backs up
the committee deciding to have more 2LTR & 1400cc bangers as numbers are often more than 30 bangers at those meetings.
There were dummies flying about all over the place too..bearing in mind the Club Championship is the next meeting, that was a risky way to behave.
The weather held out, til the Ministox came out for the Final, it then rain for the rest of the meeting, that didn't detract from the racing tho and all classes showed some
great skills coping with the wet & slippy conditions. If you stayed til the end you would have witnessed a great demo derby with a nice fire to warm up with at the end.
Well done to all the Ladies who raced for Joshua in the Stock Cars, an audiable sigh of relief from the cars owners as the race finished with not one racing incident or a
crash. Phillipa took the win and was as pleased as punch. More importantly money was raised for Alder Hay Hospital, and amount I'm unsure of. It was great to see Joshua walk on the track too.
I assume the committee meeting on Wednesday will decide switching the Christmas Bangers from 1400cc to a Banger Vans meeting. Any thoughts let us know BEFORE TUESDAY NIGHT

its MICRO BANGERS not just 1400cc, so Micras, Metros the like only.
My olde camera
that I use to record video, died on Sunday. I think I have heat two of Stock
Cars & Bangers. The camera has done well, its been dropped , drowned
knocked over by caravans TWICE, attacked by a blue bag and knocked over by a Banger... So I guess I have gotten my monies
worth out of it.

You gotta admit that that was a great meeting. Great action, racing and crashes throughout the day. A nice roll in the impressive Junior Rookies and plenty of action in
the 2LTR Bangers, Yorks put on a brave show in both Finals, but it was Lancashire that took the overall victory.
The other classes were, yet again, impressive, The Ladies race was carnage ridden, the Ministox were belting and the Stock Cars were as good as I have seen them. The Super class
again put on a good show as did the Senior Minis, it was noted by me that the 'Black Pearl' tried, not once, but twice, to roll himself in the Final... He never quite made it, tho took a
win in heat 1.
Photos went up last nite, including that roll and two near rolls, smashes and a nice jacking or two. However, I cannot load my videos onto YOUTube as I have fallen victim to the
stupid crackdown on music copyrighted stuff. it seems my videos from Download 2007 are breach of copyright and no one is allowed to show live concert footage without written
consent of the artists.. So my account is suspended until 8th June. Worry ye not though as I have another account for my store (www.snorksstore.com) I will deleate all current
videos on there and upload the weekends ones soon. ERM only thing is I need to find my password!

OK First up there were two paragraphs that didn't get into the program from Grahams Notes ... Here they are:
21st June Mr Tim Blundell has
put up prize money and a trophy for the Stock Car class. The prize money will
be £200, £100, and £50 for the top three point’s scorers over all races on the
day. The winner will also receive the Gerry Blundell Trophy. This Trophy will
become an Annual Event. Thank you to Tim, I am sure this generous offer will be
well received by the stock car drivers.
One unfortunate incident which marred the last
meeting was that apparently some youngsters were throwing stones over to cliff
at the back of the lapscorers cabin. One stone smashed a car windscreen below,
incurring cost and inconvenience for the driver. Please make sure that you know
what your children are doing, and if anyone witnessed this incident please come
and see me in confidence. As we feel we need to take all appropriate action to
prevent a repeat of this regrettable incident.
Sundays racing was EPIC in every way.. The Bangers (26) were on top form with great racing and wrecking, the Ministox were, again, great fun to watch as was the Senior Minis and Supers, both classes
having some good action packed competitive racing, with 140 Samantha Taylor cleaning up in the points for the day! The Stock Cars saw some great tussles and the continual rise of 123 Stephen Hoggarth in the class, only months after moving up
from Ministox this driver is looking like a future champion, sooner rather than later too! Another Hoggarth, named Gerald, also number 123 (how odd), was a great driver, least he says so, but
I think Stephen will proove to be betterer, or not ;) The Supers had fun too and I was forced to eat my program report when a certain R3tarded driver took a blinking win, who would have thort it? Hey ho such is life ;)
BOOK in now to race 2LTR Bangers or Junior Rookies for WARton of the ROSES, plenty of spaces so far, but will soon go. Spaces are limited so use the booking in page NOW

The sectioning of the pits is here to stay, the reasons being to help us speed up waits between races, so we dont have to have anyone running around all over the place to see if cars are racing or not and
to scrutineer faster.
Stock Cars park in first section after the ramp.
Bangers park the otherside of the oil barrels and along the seafront.
Ministox & Snr Minis park along the shoreline to the tyres
Supers park from outgate to the tyres
NOTE families with multiple class cars can park where they feel is best.
The litter problem was greatly reduced, two Sundays earlier I collect six or seven bags of litter from around the outside of the track. After Sundays meeting, it was only
ONE bag. The pits looked alot tidier too. Its a great start and thanks, but lets keep it up and see if we can do better for the rest of the season and beyond!

PRIVATE CARS are no longer allowed in the pits. This is an Insurance and Health & Saftey issue. The tyres near the tiolets are to be moved more into the pit area to
allow more spectator parking. Failure to comply may lead to all none racers being stopped from going into the pits on race days.
The sectioning of the pits seemed to work last meeting and will be enforced again this meeting.

I know I keep harping on about litter, but we are based on a bird sanctuary and therefore are blinking lucky we can still race. We must not give some Do Gooder the ammo
to cause this to stop. If you like racing, or watching racing, PLEASE DO NOT DROP LITTER ON THE FLOOR, either walk and put it in the bins (about 30 dotted around on race days)
or take it home. The pits were the worst place for cans, nappies and bottles.. Why not apoint a 'litter monitor' from your group to make sure you leave the track as clean as you find
it.. It seems EVERYONE, apart from Aaron & his dad, Graham and myself, have better things to do on a non race day other than go and pick up YOUR rubbish. To be honest we do too,
but I tell you I will think twice before doing it again, if you want the club to get fined thousands, or even closed down, drop litter... just dont come crying to us when
you have no, affordable racing to watch.

So then, a great day on Sunday. Good racing and fab action. Great photo finish in the Ministox (again) and some big wrecks in the 39 bangers that turned up! Photos & Vids been up a while now.
There are TWO banger vids on YOUTube from Sunday. I have edited them so the heats are together as are the Final, Dash4Cash & DD.
THERE NEEDS TO BE A LITTER PICK ON SUNDAY. Why don't people realise that dropping ANY litter could shut us down! Tracks have closed recently, Millom and Barrow to name but two.
DON'T LET WARTON BE NEXT! Where will you race, or go to watch racing ?? Don't risk it, bag it & bin it, or better still TAKE IT HOME!! If you leave dirty nappies in the pits
you are possably the most distgusting person ever, sick in the head, not deserving of being a parent, we do not need people like you. Last track day many nappies were found in the pits.. Its not a joke, you need to discard
your litter either in bins or take it home. If you can't dispose of nappies and for that matter any rubbish properly, then STAY AWAY, do the rest of us a favour.

this is the second race in here honour. Last years winner, Josh Vickers is moving up to, I think Snr. Minis, so who will have their name on the trophy in 09? Not long til we find out.
Points are up for grabs from now, best of luck to all drivers in 2009.
We need to sort out the pits on race day and it has been decided that the best way is to put race classes together in them. Stock Cars will be in the same place as now, Bangers the other side
of the oil drums. Supers will be from the exit Gate to the catering vans and Minis (ministox & Seniors will be along the shoreline. This is to make it easier on race day
to find if cars are racing and to help speed up scrutineering. Note we are aware that a few families race in more than one class and they can park where ever they feel

SAVE £15 on membership by applying & paying on Sunday. From April 1st it goes up to £80. More details below!!
Despite the weather being poop this week, it seems its going to be good on Sunday (dry and light winds). Dress accordingly though, just in case & get there early
I Twittered that there is a FREE caravan up for grabs in Morcambe. Its a lil tourer and ideal for the caravan meeting in August. As far as I know its still there, it can
be towed away. Contact 01524 855064.. Hurry!!
Right Beware there has been a massive high tide at the track. Racing is still on but we may have to stop cars parking on the grass at the bottom of the slope going into the pits. Please
turn left and park down near the toilet block area on Sunday.
Important message from Graham, our Chairman:
NO PRIVATE VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE PITS. I hope to have a marshall to
stand at the bottom of the ramp opposit race control- and tyre s have been put
across to stop access near the toilets-thus increasing slightly the "pits "
area. Cars may park on the shore, by turning left at the orange container-oposit
race control or on the area to the left of the track on the way in in addition
to the usual areas.
Any queries ring me
See you soon Graham
PS this also applies to Vehicles carrying tools- only
vehicles allowed through to pits will be ones either towing or transporting race
vehicles!!!!!
We have many vacancies for helpers at the track on race day. All jobs get a wage, and free entry to the track, for details
contact Graham Hayhurst on 07961 451348.
Become a member, you get FREE entry to the track on racedays and if your a racer you do not have to pay for a days licence. Its £65 (cheques made payable to Warton Stock Car Club) until

What a great day.. Best wishes to the Mob driver who hurt his knee in the Bangers Heat 1, but top marks all round for great entertainment from all drivers in all the classes.
The Junior Rookies seem to have started well and there seemed an higher percentage in the Fainal than we had with the Junior Bangers. The Stock Cars were blitzed by Dean Mason.. and they
coped well with the slippy track. The Bangers were top notch from heat one to the epic Destruction Derby... I can't wait for the Team Meeting when we do it all again.
The 1400c.c. Team Meeting is filling up nicely (check out the Booking in page) No teams will be allowed to race unless they have booked in with me or Graham BEFORE 15th MARCH 09. . We can
and have withold names, but we need to know numbers as its filling up rapidly. Prize Fund for 1400c.c. Team Meeting is £1000.
PRACTICE DAY is 15th March from about 10AM til about 3PM. Cars are to pay £20 each, no limit to the number of drivers. If you want to watch, you can, theres NO ADMISSION FEE, but there is no racing, just folks getting their
cars set up for the upcoming season, or just having a play in a new class..
