Need a laff ??
At least twice a year, usually in August, we have a bit of fun with the bangers. We have Robin Reliant racing.. Always good fun and they are very very unstable round corners, they are nicknamed as Pigs, no idea why, but they do sometimes squeal. Also we have caravan racing, a race with banger towing caravans in a race. the race is normally very short, but one of the funniest things you will ever see. Great if, like me, you get frustrated being stuck behind one on a country lane for what seems like three months!

We also have a Metro meeting every year, where we do what is best for the Metro, destroy them in huge numbers by smashing them into each other for a day. It is great fun, even more so as the rear axels/subframes have a tendacy to come adrift of the car causing much mayhem and fun.

    The Metal Mainias have been growing each year and they are becoming one of the major closed season events. Bangers from all over the UK travel to battle it out for the heafty prize fund.

    The North West Open Team Meeting has been running at Warton since Mick O'Brien was a lad. Many famous teams have battled for the £1000 first prize, including, to name but a few, The Bears, Fenn Tigers, TNT, Team V, Steeles, Bad Newz and the Invaders, who won it in 2004.

    The Hesp Memorial, in memory of Gary Hesp, the Invaders biggest fan, who passed away early 2003, is the newest of the banger classics at Warton. It is fast developing into a PRE68 meeting, again with national intrest being created by drivers and banger press alike.

    Its not all serious banger racing at Warton, we also have fun meetings with Relient Robin banger racing and a meeting with a banger caravan race, and maybe a small van race this year....
