Ye Olde photos that I took with my ikkle camera in the 80's

Its been in my blood a while, taking photos, though I always like action photos, I remember a photo in the 70's that was on the cover of a sunday supliment, it was an IRA car bomb going off. I think it was an Austin car and apart from the orange ball of flame, you could see bits of the window screen and the rubber surrond flying in the air.. The nearest I got to that was the Escort that was blown up at Warton in 2003.
Anyway here a few photos from my past, when I was into recording the demise of Cotton Mills and other buildings in my hometown of Stalybridge in Cheshire!

Hobb Hill School

Hob Hill School 13th Jun 1985 The Primary School my Grandmother went too Stalybridge 24th June 1985 Fire in the school demolition 24th June 1985 It seems the easyest way of removing the wood was to burn it!! 30th June 1985 The wrecking balls back... 30th June 1985 Down it falls 30th June 1985 Paul Weller said it best 'as the walls came tumbling down' 30th June 1985 they built it with good cement' 7th July 1985 After the fire... the wrecking ball, those windows are destroyed' Stalybridge Hob Hill School 7th July 1985 the headteachers office wall tumbles...'
